During the three-day Martin Luther King Jr. weekend seniors from the Criminal Justice Academy (CJA) at Jupiter High traveled to Washington D.C. to not only learn about our nation’s capital but also to participate in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

To be selected to participate in the ceremony, the CJA had to apply and be accepted for this prestigious honor. This was the third year in a row the seniors in CJA had the opportunity to participate in the ceremony. The students also visited the White House, the monuments and memorials and Arlington Cemetery.

“I chaperoned this trip two years ago, and it was one of my most memorable field trips. The highlight was visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,” Reading Coach Ericka Muncy said.
