The newest addition to Jupiter fine dining has finally opened. This waterfront restaurant, 1000 North, had their “soft opening” on Jan. 30 to rave reviews from diners. The restaurant’s partners include former NBA star Michael Jordan, golf legend Ernie Els and Terlato Wines CEO Bill Terlato.

“We collaborated with a group of talented, like-minded people to create a club and dining experience that just doesn’t exist in South Florida,” Els said in an interview with myspiketravel.com. “We love having homes here, but wanted to give this area a place it truly deserved – the type of destination people would normally travel to Miami or New York to find.”

The first floor of the restaurant is open to the public, while the second floor will be a private club available by invitation only.

1000 North altogether seats 257 people with additional seating outside for 90.

Amenities of the club include dockside service and access to a private lounge and patio, but non-members are welcome to visit the terrace and the tavern, two other areas at the restaurant.

“Members who want to go upstairs…after or before dinner can go out on the terrace. It’s going to be the best place for food and service in Palm Beach County,” Ira Fenton, a managing partner in the restaurant on the Loxahatchee River, said.

The restaurant also features a 350-foot dock and an indoor-outdoor bar open to all guests.

When asked what makes 1000 North different from other restaurants in Jupiter, Fenton said, “Location on the water, the dock, our partners, membership program, highest quality interior design/finishes, menu [with the] highest quality food and, most importantly, our highly skilled and dedicated staff.”

Access to the upper level of the restaurant costs $3,500 for a joining fee and $3,500 per year. In addition, the hours of 1000 North are limited for the time being.

“Currently, we are open for dinner only 5:00 P.M. till 10:00 p.m. in the dining room while the bar can stay open to 2:00 p.m. We will serve lunch beginning in April,” Fenton said.

Many think this restaurant experience is special because while it does offer a normal dining experience, it also offers a unique waterfront environment.

When asked what inspired the partners of 1000 North to build the restaurant, Fenton said, “Finding the right location to create something uniquely different.”
