Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach is the concert hot spot for those living in Palm Beach County. The outdoor venue holds 19,000 seats and includes a special lawn section with cheaper ticket options.

“Coral Sky is cool because it is convenient for everyone in our area to go. It is fun being able to enjoy the concert and be with so many people you know from school,” senior Aidan Martinez said.

On Aug. 17, headliner Wiz Khalifa and openers Rae Sremmurd and Lil Skies performed at Coral Sky to a packed house.

“Rae Sremmurd performed at Sunfest this past year so most [people] had already seen them before but this was my first time seeing Wiz. He played all of his popular songs; it was a really good concert,” senior Zoie Hawker said.

On Sept. 8, fans packed the amphitheater for the G-Eazy concert. This was a popular show because it was the last stop of G-Eazy’s “Endless Summer” tour. Rappers Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Uzi Vert opened the show.

“I had a VIP pass for the show and was able to meet G-Eazy. He was such a carefree and happy person,” senior Sydney Mansbach said.

G-Eazy started his concert with a special tribute to rapper Mac Miller, who died on Sept. 6 from a drug overdose. He projected a picture of Miller on stage and sang a song in Miller’s honor. He also brought Halsey, his girlfriend, on stage to sing their collaboration song “Him and I.”

Other events at Coral Sky include Dierks Bentley’s “Mountain High” tour, with opening performances by LANCO and Brothers Osborne, on Sept. 14, Niall Horan’s tour with Maren Morris on Sept. 23 and Darius Rucker’s “Summer Plays On” tour starring Lady Antebellum on Sept. 29.

“He [Niall Horan] was incredibly kind to me even though I couldn’t get a single word out. Honestly, meeting the person I have looked up to for six years was everything I imagined and more,” senior Shannon Komm said.
