The AP Top 25 poll looked very different after a week of shakeups in college football. Teams like Oklahoma, Louisiana State and Auburn got upset on Oct. 6, while the top four powerhouse teams stayed the same. Other teams have finally gotten into the top 25 AP poll. Undefeated teams include #1 Alabama, #2 Georgia, #3 Ohio State, #4 Clemson, #5 Notre Dame, #6 West Virginia, #10 Central Florida, #19 Colorado, #20 N.C. State, #23 South Florida and #25 Cincinnati.

The Alabama Crimson Tide had a win against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Alabama’s offense showed full dominance, scoring 65 points. The Alabama defense struggled slightly, giving up 31 points to Arkansas. The massive numbers Alabama put up still gave them a big win. Tua Tagoviloa, the Heisman Trophy favorite for Alabama, threw four touchdowns, showing his talent in yet another week.

The Georgia Bulldogs had a win at home against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Georgia had an impressive 41 points against Vanderbilt’s measly 13. Georgia’s defense was able to slow down Vanderbilt, a team that almost beat Notre Dame. The offensive side of the ball assured the other team had no way of coming back.

The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Indiana Hooisers 49-26 in an explosive home game. Ohio had to put down a pesky Indiana that would not quit until the end. Many of Ohio State’s key players were injured in the previous game against The Penn State Nittany Lions, so it was a big win getting to the college playoffs.

The Clemson Tigers destroyed the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 63-3 at Wake. Both the defense and offense of Clemson were dominant in this big win, earning another American Coastal Conference (ACC) win for the Tigers.

The Texas Longhorns also upset the Oklahoma Sooners 48-45 in the Red River Rivalry.

The Florida Gators beat The Louisiana State Tigers in Gainesville. After receiving a turn over, the Gators won the game and are now ranked #14.

The Auburn Tigers lost to the Mississippi State Bulldogs 23-9 in an upset, fully diminishing playoff hopes for the Tigers.
