Millions of people buy products from Amazon every day, and with holiday shopping just beginning, the company is not slowing down. Amazon headquarters are in Seattle, but the corporation has hundreds of warehouses scattered across the globe.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has an estimated net worth of $156 billion, and Amazon plans to gain more wealth through funding technological advancements and beating competitors. New technologies developed by the company include drones for home delivery and online grocery shopping.

Amazon is also offering free shipping for the holiday season to beat the competition. Smaller businesses will not be able to compete with the massive size and appeal of Amazon. Even Target, which is giving free one-to-two day shipping on items purchased from Nov. 1 to Dec. 22, has less items in their inventory to sell than Amazon, and Target will struggle to compete with Amazon, a company known for its connections to online retailers.

Despite their popularity and success, Amazon does have flaws in its methods. Amazon employees skip bathroom breaks in order to reach their extreme daily requirement of items boxed and shipped. If they don’t meet these requirements, employees face termination.

Amazon could face legal implications from employees if they do not become more employee-friendly. Former Amazon workers say Amazon’s controversial practices are why they are generating so much money, which is enough money for Bezos to be the richest man on Earth.
