Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Water Polo team for a great season.  The boys were led by
Hayden Bertone and David Foster.  The girls were led by Kaitlyn Hiebert and Mikayla Wiglesworth.

We purchased the Gale Testing and Education Reference Center for our school this year. Students have access to it through their Portal and it has practice tests for the FSA, AP, SAT, and all of the major college and career tests. Here’s a tutorial on how to access it: https://youtu.be/l3wQBXbIUn0

DUAL ENROLLMENT Registration for the summer term at PBSC is underway and classes are filling up quickly.  Registration for the fall term begins April 25th.  Qualified students, who plan to dual enroll, need to complete their request packets and use the Dual Enrollment Center in Guidance.

MEDICAL ACADEMY SENIOR STUDENTS Pick up your Academy Awards packet in room 7-106. Deadline to RSVP for the awards ceremony is April 19, 2019.

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY JTAA is offering 5 scholarships to seniors who have previously participated in a JTAA sport. The application can be found on the JHS Scholarship Bulletin as well as on the JTAA website. Applications are due today (4/12). CONGRATULATIONS to the Jupiter High School SECME club for their outstanding effort in Saturday’s Palm Beach County SECME Olympiad.  Savannah Scrocco took 3rd place in the essay.  Our bridge team of Niraj Patel, Eric Frankle, and Vincent Pataca finished 4th overall and received an Honorable Mention Award.  Chris Palles, Jared Craig, Savannah Scrocco, and Emily Demboski placed 5th overall in the Brain Bowl.  And, Congratulations to Samantha Clayman, Sean Evan, Samip Patel, and Colin Czaja for their hard work and dedication to the school banner and mousetrap car.

THE NINTENDO CLUB has changed their meeting to Monday’s from 2:45 to 4:30 in room 6-110.

THE JAPANESE CLUB will be meeting this Friday in room 6-115. New members are always welcome.

MY FRIEND’S CLOSET Is having a clothing drive until May 1st. We will be collecting clothes and shoes for all ages. You will receive community service for your donations. Also, the 1st period that collects the most clothes will receive Jupiter Donuts. Please bring donations to Ms. Ellis’s room 4-118 or collect a bin in 1st period and contact Annabelle Ford to pick up. BESTBUDDIESFRIENDSHIPWALK.ORG/PALMBEACH Our own JHS senior, Kaitlyn Parsons, was given the opportunity to record an advertisement for the Best Buddies Friendship Walk that aired on the “I heart” radio station. Great job Kaitlyn! Another Best Buddies member, Chloe Thibault, received a Duffy’s Gift card for her hard work in raising over $600 for the Best Buddies Friendship Walk.  She, along with other members, helped our team raise over $3000 for Best Buddies.  Our team has earned a tent at the walk, so come on out and walk with us tomorrow at the Fitteam Ball Park.  For more info see Mrs. Capparelli or Mr. Bolt, or a BB officer. PALM BEACH COUNTY TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS On Wednesday, April 3rd the track team members that qualified for the County Championships competed against the best athletes in Palm Beach County. Each event had 16 competitors from the 5 county qualifying meets last week. Sophomore Joe Wester brought home the County Championship title in the 800m and was 2nd in the mile. Senior Sam Munera finished 4th in the 2 mile and 5th in the mile. Junior Michelle Sutcliffe tied for 3rd in the Pole Vault. Junior Ava Romero finished 7th in the 800m. Junior Peter Weil finished 7th in Pole Vault. Girls 4 x 800m relay finished 7th with Ava Romero, Sydney Buck, Alicia Gustafson, Peyton Del Re.

SPRING FOOTBALL begins April 22.  If you wish to try-out, you must have a 2.0 GPA and a completed eligibility packet on file in the Athletic Director’s office, PRIOR to 4/22.  Any questions, please see Coach Tharp.

FRESHMAN FOOTBALL There will be a Parent and Player Meeting for all incoming Freshman Football players on Monday, May 13, at 6:00 pm in the JHS Media Center.
