Abacoa POA/Food Truck Invasion

While visiting the beach and going boating are always popular, here are some other activities in our area to enjoy this weekend.

Abacoa Food Truck Invasion
On Sept. 13, food trucks take over Abacoa Town Center. Local restaurants and food trucks collaborate to bring tasty food to all who attend, from seafood to burgers to loaded desserts. The Invasion starts at 5:30 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but be sure to bring money for food.

Art After Dark: Chinese Moon Festival
Celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival at the newly-renovated Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach on Sept. 13, from 5 to 10 p.m. The event features beautiful Chinese music and calligraphy lessons under the full moon, weather permitting. The event is free and open to the public.

Chris Young: Raised on Country Tour
On Sept. 14, Chris Young’s “Raised on Country” tour comes to Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, starting at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $20, for lawn seats. For seats closer to the stage, prices range from $40 to $110.

Waterfront Market at Harbourside Place
On Sept. 15, visit the farmer’s market at Harbourside Place to sample and buy works from local artisans, homemade food and fresh produce. It starts at 10 a.m. and continues to 4 p.m., rain or shine. It is free and open to the public.

Parkinson’s Won’t Stop Me 5K
Run a 5K at Tradewinds Park on Sunday, Sept. 15, to raise money for the Parkinson’s Research Foundation. Arrive at 6 a.m., and start running at 7 a.m. Registration before the day of the race is $35, and $45 if you register the day of.
