TECH FEST Full Sail UniversityTech Fest at Jupiter High School, November 12, 2019 – All Day In the Gym. What
is it? This career-focused event will feature several experiential and hands-on stations exposing students to
emerging technology careers in: * Augmented and virtual reality simulation * Cloud-based and mobile
applications * Research and development * Esports (broadcasting, production, and development/design

JUPITER HIGH PARENTS Please join us for an important meeting to begin planning the Class of 2020’s Project
Graduation event. We are looking for multiple parents to take on leadership roles with planning and executing
this event to continue the tradition for Jupiter High grads. Project Graduation is an alcohol-drug-tobacco free
event for graduates that takes place on the night of graduation. It is a safe place for our seniors to have an
amazing night of fun with their friends, win cash prizes and many valuable gifts to start their futures/careers.
The night is filled with casino games, carnival booths, bowling, dancing, raffles, entertainment, and more.
Parents from ANY grade level can participate in multiple committees in the planning process as well as the
night of the event. Please join us on October 7 @ 6:00pm in Room 4-110. Questions can be directed to Mrs.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS … Yearbook pictures are scheduled for Thursday and Friday in the Auditorium, 7:15
a.m – 3:00 p.m. Underclassmen will be photographed via their English classes. Faculty and staff can come to
the auditorium ANY TIME to get photographed. We’ll even let you cut in line!
HERFF JONES will be on campus on October 2, 3, and 4th for class ring orders. You will find them in the back
of the cafeteria on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday–October 2nd–4th. You can also visit Herff-Jones online

SOPHOMORES Class of 2022, Anyone interested in homecoming spirit-mobile building, there is a mandatory
meeting in Mr. Day’s room 6-207 Thursday, October 3, immediately after school! Any questions see Mrs. Jeffs
or Mr. Day.
FIRST PRIORITY will be meeting on Tuesday, October 1 during lunch in portable 15. All are invited to come
check out the club!
SOCK DRIVE For Hispanic Heritage Month, JHS Latinos In Action is partnering with SWAT and the Homeless
Coalition of Palm Beach County to collect socks for our homeless neighbors. Socks are one of the most needed
items among the homeless. Healthy feet = a healthy body! Please help by donating a new pack of socks. One
community service hour will be given per 6-pack of socks. Drop off socks before school from 7- 7:15am each
day in the courtyard until 10/15. HOSA Members, our next meeting is Wednesday October 2nd after school in
the auditorium. Meetings are mandatory. The informational meeting is about Regional Competitions and sign
ups. Join us for a snack and enter a drawing to win a HOSA related prize. See you there! Coming Soon…….

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The meeting has been changed! It will take place in Mrs. Sparks’ room 1-155
during lunch on October 1st. Again, during lunch on October 1st. Please message Remind or see Mrs. Sparks if
you are unable to attend.
NATIONAL MATH HONOR SOCIETY Juniors and Seniors who want to apply, Look for the form in room 6-106 or
from your math teacher. If you were already a member last year, you do NOT need to reapply. This is strictly
for new members only. Please turn in completed forms to room 6-106 NO LATER than October 1st.
WANT TO ATTEND THE INTERACT CLUB HAUNTED WALK? Be an Interact member by Oct. 8th, our next
meeting. You need a wristband for admission. You can get a wristband by going to the Interact table in the
courtyard at lunch from October 14th-17th. There’s not going to be any wristbands sold at the door. There is
going to be food like burgers and s’mores for sale so bring your money! It’s at Tanah Keeta Boy Scout
Reservation. Help prepare for the walk by joining one of our committees like the decoration or costume
committee. You can do this by joining our reminds which are posted on our instagram, jhs_interact club. The
Haunted Walk is Fri. October 18th!
GIRLS BASKETBALL There will be a brief girls basketball meeting Thursday October 3rd at 7:15 in portable 5.

another random raffle for a chance to win a $20 gift card. Our 400th random selection winner was Chloe
Jezerinac!! Congrats!! Thanks for the follow!

Our athlete of the week is senior Zac Creeden. Last year he placed 2nd in a national qualifier and beat out the
#5 and #9 ranked wrestlers in the state. What an accomplishment congrats Zac.
Homecoming this year will be during the week of October 28th through November 2nd. More information will
be released closer to the week. For the homecoming dance it will be on November 2nd from 8PM to 12 AM,
and ticket sales for the dance will start October 7th. Hope to see you there.
