SOCK DRIVE JHS Latinos In Action is partnering with SWAT and the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County to collect
socks for our homeless neighbors. One community service hour will be given per 6-pack of socks. Drop off socks before
school from 7- 7:15am each day in the courtyard (until 10/15). Please bring a Community Service form from guidance
HOSA Members, our next meeting is today (10/2) after school in the auditorium. This mandatory meeting is about
Regional Competitions and sign ups. Join us for a snack and enter a drawing to win a HOSA related prize.

SWIM & DIVE On Saturday, September 28th the Boys’ and Girls’ Swim and Dive Team competed in FSPA Invitational
Swimming and Diving Meet in Stuart. The Girls’ team placed 3rd and the Boys’ placed 4th out of 45 Schools.
Congratulations to Heidi Smithwick for breaking two school records at the FSPA swim meet, the 200 individual medley
with a time of 2:05.48. This was the oldest school record on our records board set in 1996. She also broke the 100
butterfly Record held by Sydney Groth with a time of 55.80.
BOYS SOCCER tryouts will start October 21st after school at Jupiter Community Park. Athletic Eligibility forms must be
turned in to Coach Johnston by October 17th. If you have questions, see Coach Johnston in Room 6-109.
