CLUBS
MATH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY All new member fees are due Friday. If you have not paid you will not be a member
of math honor society. If you have any questions visit room 6-106 or text remind by texting 81010 @mhsjhs2. This is for
NEW members only.
A PROM TO REMEMBER will be meeting on Monday, October 28th in room 6-207. $20 dues will be collected. New
members are welcome.
THE JAPANESE CLUB Meets this Friday (10/26) after school in Coach Andersen’s room 6-115. Remember to bring money
for t-shirts.
ROBOTICS CLUB MEETING IS Tuesday, October 29th, 7PM at William T. Dwyer High School in Classroom 8-105. You and
at least one parent need to attend to learn information about the Club and its activities, along with what is involved with
being a member. Dwyer is located on Military Trail just south of the intersection of Donald Ross Road. Enter the school
at the stone sign, NOT at the traffic light and electronic marquee. Park at the front of the school, and enter the Atrium.
Signs will be posted to direct you to the classroom. If you are not able to attend, or have any questions before attending,

NATIONAL TECHNICAL HONOR SOCIETY All current members meet today (10/24) at 2:45pm in Room 4-209.
SECME CLUB’S first meeting is after school today (10/24) in room 7-209. This is a meeting for returning members and
anyone interested in competing in the engineering challenges later this year.
BEST BUDDIES Match party is Friday, October 25th from 2:45-3:45 in the cafeteria. Refreshments will be served. We
hope to see everyone there. Remember, you MUST be signed up online to attend. Any questions, please see Mrs.
McAfee, Mr. Bolt or any Best Buddies officer.
HOSA is selling Boo You’s for one dollar during lunch. Look for their table and get Boo’ed
JUNIORS & SENIORS Applications for the Social Studies Honor Society are available in room 5-112 OR through your Social
Studies teacher. Applications are due by October 31st and should be returned to the box in Guidance. Email or see Mrs.
Hanssen in room 5-112 during lunch or between classes with any questions.
TRICK OR TREAT FOR UNICEF JRC is fundraising for Unicef and collecting donations for kids in need. You can help by
filling a Trick or Treat for Unicef box with spare change or cash. For filling one box you can receive 2 hours of community
service. Get a box in Ms.Plageman’s room 7-113 or from Mr. Hagenbuch the Physics teacher.
TEENS HELPING HOSPICE Is a club that partners with local hospices to help kids deal with the loss of family and loved
ones. Our Club participates in two grief camps/year. Grief camps are for kids, ages 5-18, that teach kids to deal with
grief through adventure, collaborative- based and music therapy. Club members go through a 4-hour training course to
aid the counselors and therapists. One camp is a weekend where you sleep over for two nights and the other is a one
week day camp for younger children. This club is very rewarding and really helps kids in need. If you’re interested in
joining, come to our meeting today (10/24) at 2:45pm in P10.
SPORTS
GIRLS LACROSSE For anyone interested, there is conditioning Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 on the track until
December 15th. Bring water, cleats or running shoes. Also please join our remind. Text @e2h9c49 to 81010 for all
updates.
JHS GIRLS BASKETBALL Tryouts will be Monday and Tuesday October 28th and 29th in JHS gym at 3:00. Girls may not try
out without an athletic packet completely filled out. If you have any questions see Coach Lynch in portable 5
HOME FOOTBALL game on Friday at 6:30. The theme is neon. Tickets are $3 for students with ID or $6 general
admission.
