JHS Band will be selling pizza on Mondays and Wednesday after school. Please support the band!
UNDERCLASSMEN PICTURE RETAKES and make-ups are scheduled for Friday, November 1, in the gym lobby, starting at
7:30 a.m. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Muncy in room 4-110.
YBK SENIOR PORTRAITS Prestige Portraits will be on campus on November 4 to do the yearbook pose for any senior who
was not able to make an in-studio appointment by November 1. Please see Mrs. Muncy in room 4-110 to sign up for a
time to be photographed. Photos will take place in the gym lobby, and the cost is $25.
HANNAH’S HOUSE DONATION DRIVE Please help Ms. Rivera’s Class help pregnant teens get back on their feet by
donating items such as Kleenex, Diapers, and Baby Food. (The full list is on their boards around school) Community
Service Hours will be given. Drop off new items to Mrs. Rivera, Rm 7-110 now through Nov. 19 before school or during
lunch.
CLUBS
NATIONAL TECHNICAL HONOR SOCIETY Reminder to all new members, there will be a meeting Tuesday, October 29th in
room 4-209 at 2:45pm. Bring your Guidance signed application to turn in and fill out your NTHS Google Form in your
school email.
WOMEN IN ENGINEERING The club meeting will be held this Wednesday, October 30th, at 2:40 in Room 7-107. All are
welcome. Hope to see you there.
PENNY WARS SGA and HOSA are sponsoring a fundraiser this week for kids with cancer. The winner will be announced
at homecoming. Pennies are positive points. Silver and bills are negative points. Your goal is to finish with the best point
value. Our goal is to collect at least one dollar from every student. Look for the Penny War table during lunch. Let the
battle begin.
HOSA If you are thinking about competing at the regional conference you must join the club by November 5. Please see
Mrs. Scarafia in room 7-106 for an application. No further opportunities to join HOSA this school year will be offered.
A PROM TO REMEMBER Meets today (10/28) in room 6-207. $20 dues will be collected. New members are welcome.
ROBOTICS CLUB MEETS Tuesday, October 29th, at 7PM at William T. Dwyer High School in Classroom 8-105. You and at
least one parent need to attend to learn information about the Club and its activities, along with what is involved with
being a member. (Dwyer is located on Military Trail just south of Donald Ross Road. Enter the school at the stone sign,
NOT at the traffic light and electronic marquee. Park at the front of the school, and enter the Atrium. Signs will be

SPORTS
GIRLS LACROSSE Conditioning is Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 on the track until December 15th. Bring water, cleats

JHS GIRLS BASKETBALL Tryouts will today and Tuesday October 28th and 29th in JHS gym at 3:00. Girls may not try out
without an athletic packet completely filled out. If you have any questions see Coach Lynch in portable 5
FRESHMAN FOOTBALL Any player who did not attend the Banquet needs to see Coach Kresser to pick up their shirt and
certificate.
TENNIS MEETING For all interested players is Tuesday Oct.29th in Room 4-106 at 2:45

CONGRATULATIONS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Joey Matthew Steinmetz. Joey participates in football, weightlifting, and
wrestling. Teachers say he is a humble and generous student and he never forgets to credit his coaches and teammates
for his success. We are selling homecoming tickets for $20. Please bring ID and contract to room 4-217 or during lunch at
the courtyard. Follow our Instagram to get the latest updates on our events! When the page reaches 600 followers, we
will do another random raffle for a chance to win a $20 gift card. Please DM us on instagram or use our suggestion
boxes located in student services, the media center and room 4-217.

Friday the parade starts at 4:30 coming down Daniels Way, running through the carnival, and finishing on the track. The
carnival runs from 4-6pm and will have games, face paint, poster making and fun before the 6:30 football game.
Saturday: homecoming dance @8pm-11pm. Remember – homecoming is special to high school and your experience at
JHS, encourage your friends to come out and have a good time! Have a great week warriors!!
