CONGRATULATIONS WARRIORS OF THE WEEK JACOB FISKE & KYLE CHRISKE
CLASS NEWS
SPEECH AND DEBATE Last weekend nine intrepid JHS Team members participated in the 16th Annual GMU Speech and
Debate Tournament in Fairfax, Virginia. Braving the cold and winning awards were the public forum team of Abbie
Barrows and Jackson Beecher who broke to Triple Octafinals in their first tournament as partners. Miss Versatility, Abbie
Barrows, also competed in Informative Speaking and broke to Quarterfinals in that event. Congratulations to all who
attended and represented JHS with poise and skill. Go Warrior Debaters!
ATTENTION JUNIORS If you have purchased a class ring, Herff Jones will be here on campus on Friday in the cafeteria
during lunch for class ring pick up! If you still owe money to Herff-Jones for your class ring, you can pay them then and
pick up your custom ring on Friday! Thank you and happy holidays from Herff Jones!
THE ANNUAL SENIOR TURF field picture takes place tomorrow at 9:15 am promptly following the pep rally. Wear your
black senior t-shirt, or any black shirt, and gather on the track no later than 9:15 am.
DUAL ENROLLMENT Students must register for spring term by this Friday (12/13). Counselors must have your PBSC
schedule before winter break. PBSC classes begin January 6. See your counselor to adjust your schedule if you will not
be taking a DE class next semester.
THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY TOY DRIVE Today is the last day to drop off new unwrapped toys in room 4-206, the
Main Office, or give them to any CJA student for community service hours.
CLUBS
PLEASE JOIN RELAY FOR LIFE today at Surf Taco in the Bluffs shopping center on US 1, across from the Juno pier for a
fundraiser. All you have to do is show a picture of the flyer and 25% of the proceeds go to the Relay for Life club to help
cancer patients.
BEST BUDDIES will be tie dying their Best Buddies shirts today (12/12) after school in room 7-110. Make sure to BRING,
not wear your shirt. Please have a ride home by 3:45. Hope to see you there.
THE JRC GIFT EXCHANGE is today at lunch in Room 3-101
HOSA MEMBERS must have their completed TLE, HOSA code of conduct and registration fee submitted by DECEMBER
13th. Any questions, see Mrs. Scarafia in room 7-106.
THE RONALD MCDONALD CLUB HOLIDAY CONTEST The first hour that collects the most pull-tabs will be treated to
something special to eat. Please have the tabs rinsed, bagged and labeled with the total count. Turn into Ms. Lanza’s Rm
4-116 by 1/17.

BOYS BASKETBALL Tuesday Night’s Final: Jupiter wins against Palm Beach Lakes 59-58. Check out Larry Scott III with the
game winning layup at the buzzer.
THE VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM defeated Vero Beach Tuesday night 45-42. Veronica Edwards led the way with 16
points and 6 rebounds. Freshman Annika Espenship added 9 points and Elliana Manzo put in 8 points. Lexi Lynch
contributed 7 steals and 7 assists. The lady warriors host Park Vista on Thursday at 7:00.
ONE TRIBE will be hosting an event at the girls’ basketball and boys’ soccer games tonight. There will be hot apple cider
and sugar cookies for you to decorate. Please join us at 7.00 p.m. in the gym for the game.
