COPS & TEEN TALK Is Wednesday, March 11th @3:15 pm at the Community Center. Pizza, drinks and snacks, along with
Community service hours will be given.
CLASS NEWS
FSA ELA RETAKES for 11th and 12th graders are starting right now. Please report to the Media Center. Algebra 1 EOC
retakes are Thursday and Friday.
THE MEDICAL ACADEMY is having their annual 5k this Saturday, March 14th. If you would like to register to run, walk,
dance, or just cheer on the racers, please go to jupitermedicalacademy.com. All proceeds go directly towards senior
scholarships that YOU can apply for. We would love to see you there.
JUNIORS If you want a free ticket to your senior prom, then you must attend prom this year as a junior. If you want to
get a discounted ticket this year, then you have until March 20th to pay your class dues and purchase your discounted
Prom 2020 ticket. Pay your class of 2021 dues and get your Prom 2020 ticket while they last! See either Mr. DeLeonardo
in 4-217 or Mrs. DeLeonardo in 3-105 for dues, contracts and tickets.
MEDICAL ACADEMY Seniors, This years’ award ceremony will be held at Abacoa Country Club. Stop by room 7-106 to
pick up your invitation to this event before March 13th. Don’t miss out. Please share with your academy classmates.
THE PALM BEACH STATE COLLEGE SUMMER DUAL ENROLLMENT registration window begins March 17th and runs
through May 15th for Summer A and May 22nd for Summer B. Interested students must be eligible for the Dual
Enrollment Program with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, college ready test scores, and attend a mandatory PBSC Advising
Session. PBSC will have an Advising Session here at JHS on April 8th so plan to attend! Sign up in Guidance. Information
about the Dual Enrollment Program is available on the JHS website and in the Dual Enrollment Center in Guidance.
CLUBS
MATH HONOR SOCIETY Attention all members who are interested in becoming an officer, please pick up an application
form in room 6-106. Forms MUST be turned in by March 20th during lunch to be considered.
FIRST PRIORITY meets today (3/10) during lunch today in portable 15. All are invited to come.
DECA held the annual State Competition in Orlando, FL and Jupiter High School was well represented with 17
participants. Congratulations to the DECA students who qualified for the International Competition in April: First Place in
Project Management-Sales: Kathryn Fox, Carly Johnson, Bryce Baxter. Fourth Place in Project Management-Business
Solutions: Aiden Capellaro, James Walter. Additionally, Gabby Venanzi began her term as the Executive President of all
of Florida DECA and Veronica Edwards began her term as District 8 Vice President. Students who participated in the
event included: Bryce Cobey, Tyler Douglass, Veronica Edwards, Sara Fehring, Jack Ferris, Casey Linden, Samantha
Porter, Jaxson Reeves, Gabriella Venanzi, Cole Wagnon, Natalie Zerecheck, Jasmine Rios
THE UNLITTER CLUB Beach Cleanup is on Saturday, March 14th from 8:30-10:30. Please come help clean up our local
beaches and earn community service hours!
BLAZE PIZZA NIGHT Is on March 20th from 1-8pm to support Jupiter High HOSA. 20% of the proceeds will go towards the
fund to support students who will be attending the state conference in Orlando in April. Please bring your family and
friends. Thank YOU for coming and supporting our club!
THE JUPITER HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE DEPARTMENT Is hosting Dinner and a Show Friday (3/13) at 6:15 pm in the
auditorium. Dinner for you and your family starts at 5:30 pm in the lobby with food provided by local restaurants. For
the suggested donation of $10, you get a great meal and a great show, and more importantly, you are supporting a great
cause, the JHS Theatre department and their spring field trips and productions. Come, eat, and be entertained!
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY applications are available in Rm 1-155, periods 1-6 and Lunch and on the JHS website.
Requirements: 3.0 or higher unweighted GPA, 100 hours of community service, Applications are due no later than

SPORTS
THE JHS WRESTLERS finished in 21st place at the state tournament last weekend. Robbie Preisendorf and Aiden
Alexander finished in the top 16 in the state, Edwin Mendez finished in the top 12 in the state and Zac Creeden finished
off his senior season with a tremendous 2nd place finish in the state! Congratulations to all of the wrestlers on a great
season!
