NEXT WEEK, January 19th-22nd, 9th and 10th grades will be taking PBPA and Diagnostic Exams.  These four days we will be on a block schedule. Exams will be given in 9th/10th grade English classes.  Virtual students will remain home and take the diagnostics online during their English class.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS Are you interested in ordering a Class Ring for the class of 2022 or 2021?  Or in purchasing Graduation Announcements for your upcoming 2020 Graduation Ceremony?  If so, good news!  Herff-Jones will be on campus from 5-7 pm on January 19th and again on February 3rd to take your class ring orders and graduation announcement orders.  You can view the Herff-Jones Class Ring and Senior Product flyers on our JHS school website.

FLAG FOOTBALL Attention all girls who are interested in playing. Coach Embick and Coach DeLeonardo have set up a Google Classroom for information. The code is 7capubp. Your completed and correct athletic eligibility packet is due to the Athletic Director, Coach Jalm by Friday, January 15th. No exceptions. Links to forms, requirements, and instructions are on the Google Classroom.

VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL The team improved to 5 and 3 on the season with a 51 to 39 victory over Palm Beach Central.  The lady warriors were led by senior Aayden Ghee with a game high 19 points added 10 rebounds. Senior Elliana Manzo added 14 points and Lexi Lynch dished out 6 assists.

THE LADY WARRIORS defeated Park Vista on Friday night 53 to 25 to improve to 6 and 3 on the season.  Once again the lady warriors were led by Aayden Ghee with a team high 22 points and teammate Veronica Edwards added 14 rebounds.  Senior Lexi Lynch recorded a team high 9 assists and 5 steals. The lady warriors will host ranked Seminole Ridge tonight at 7:00

ATTENTION ALL OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS JHS Surf Rider Chapter is getting started. Come to Mr. Kovachick’s Room 4-119 after school this Friday, January 15th to join surfer rider club for volunteer hours and club positions within surfer rider.

WARRIORS If you took an AICE exam in the fall this year, those scores have been released and are online now. You were e-mailed log in credentials last month and should be able to log in and see your scores now. If you’re having trouble, please email Mrs. Saunders at [email protected]

ALSO IN AICE NEWS: A video presentation and Google Form are going out via AICE English classrooms this week and next. During this virtual exam registration meeting, you will have access to important documents like an AICE diploma tracking guide, the AICE & AP exam calendar, and an important Google Form that must be completed this year. The form covers how to register for exams, how to handle retake exam requests, exam accommodation requests, and AICE diploma registrations. If you are NOT in an AICE English class, Mrs. Saunders will reach out you via email this week to share the video and google form you need. AS A REMINDER The vending machine in the cafeteria is now operational with your student number and pin number.  Breakfast and lunch is free for all students until September 2021.  Please stop by the Donut Hole breakfast cart in the courtyard for a breakfast on the go!  We offer breakfast in the cafeteria as well.  Lunch is available at the Tender Vendor concession, the Sub Central cart in the courtyard and inside the cafeteria.  We look forward to seeing you!

WARRIOR ATHLETES Cady Studios will be on campus next Friday, January 15, to take team photos of fall and winter sports. These will not only go in the yearbook but also will be available for purchase. Team photos will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on the football field and in the gym. Reach out to your coach or Mrs. Muncy for specific details.

ON JANUARY 13TH, Chipotle will be hosting a hospitality night for our Dance Marathon. This fundraiser will bring in 33% of the profit made between 4-8 pm that night. Make sure to mention JHS Dance Marathon at the register or show the flyer. Order food for your entire family or even some of your friends. See you there!

SGA NEWS Want community service hours and a way to help the environment? SGA will be hosting an environmental week from January 19-22. On Thursday, January 21st, SGA will be hosting a cleanup on campus after school at 2:50, meeting in room 4-217. We will start in the courtyard picking up trash in order to try to keep our campus clean and beautiful. Trash bags, pickers, and gloves will be provided. We know that it is hard to get community service hours during COVID, so take this opportunity to get some community service hours signed off and some yummy pizza at the end of us cleaning up! We will also be hosting a fundraiser night for the charity Keep 

America Beautiful. Keep an eye out for any updates and if you have any questions, go to @jhssga or room 4-217!

SGA will be hosting an online social media fundraiser from 1/18-1/22 to support the local foster home, Place of Hope. all SGA students will be posting about it on their Instagram accounts and the link to donate money will be attached to their posts. All of the proceeds will be donated directly to Place of Hope. There will be a video on the announcements next week all about this amazing organization.
