Shoutout to the best band in the nation! The Spirit of Jupiter Indoor Winds Group won first place in states this weekend in Daytona. All the hours and days you guys put in is outstanding and your hard work paid off. The quartet opened the show with Gabriel Ortiz, Victoria Rivera, Laden Kahl, and Delaney Johnson. Laden Kahl was the trumpet soloist and Delaney Johnson was the flute soloist. Congratulations once again to the Spirit of Jupiter!

This coming Friday is World Autism Awareness Day. To help raise awareness of this day we would appreciate it if you would wear blue on Thursday.

SGA NEWS  There was an error in the March Students of the Month. Jake Russo was accidentally recognized as a senior, when in fact he is a junior, and hence he is now the April Junior of the Month. With that, we would like to congratulate the new March Senior of the Month as none other than Carlyn Russell. She is always positive and willing to help others.  Additionally, she brings in homemade cookies for Mr. Smith’s class to brighten their days!

JUPITER GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE is holding their first in person meeting on Thursday, April 1, at 2:45 in room 7-207 to celebrate and discuss Transgender Day of Visibility. There will be pizza, snacks, drinks, activities, and a guest speaker. If you are unable to join us in-person, we will also have a Google Meet running. Anyone is free to join GSA, just join the google classroom @55yoqkw with your personal gmail account or email Ms. Dellobuono for more information. We hope to see you there!

A LOT IS HAPPENING WITH HOSA First, HUGE news to report! Our very own HOSA President, Jack Beecher, was elected to serve on next year’s state officer team as President-Elect!! Jack has worked tirelessly to keep HOSA alive and thriving at JHS in the most unusual of circumstances. Way to go, Jack! Now, on to the state competition results. Individual finalists: Ashley McCallum finished 2nd in Physical Therapy, Rutvi Patel finished 2nd in Pathophysiology. Team finalists: 4th in Parliamentary Procedure: Camryn Brown, Laney Gannelli, Jenna Koenig, Grace Lavallee, Elizabeth Mallard, Marin McCammon and Madison Zaragoza. 5th in Biomedical Debate: Reese Barrett, Jackson Beecher and Katie Ruge. Congratulations to all who qualified for this event! Your hard work, effort, and dedication to excellence was apparent every step of the way.

Students, If you are interested in participating in cheerleading tryouts please complete the Tryout Interest Form: https://forms.gle/umJqAYSPGoG6yKRo9. You can also find this form on the JHS Athletic website under the Cheerleading in the Winter Sports section or on the Jupiter Cheer Instagram Bio. Once you complete this form, the coaches will send you important tryout details and information. The tryout process will begin April 14th! THE SIMON LEE BAKER ACES mental health and awareness scholarship is open to all JHS Seniors. Applications are due no later than Thursday, April 15 by 11:59pm. Additional instructions are in the Google Classroom (code oepxmqx). If you have any questions, please email Ms. Kimberly Jalm. 

Attention Class of 2021 Social Studies Honor Society members Please make sure you have paid your dues so you receive your graduation cord. Dues can be paid on Cashless Schools and all active members should have a link to pay. The deadline to pay has been extended to Friday April 2nd. NHS IS SPONSORING A CLOTHING DRIVE New or gently used items, no undergarments or socks please. Three clothing items equal one hour of community service. Items can be dropped off to Mrs. Sparks in Rm 1-155 or to the NHS cart outside the main office. Please bag all items and label with your name, student number, and total clothing items. Drive will end Thursday, April 1st.
