GIRLS BASKETBALL There will be a mandatory meeting in portable 5 Tuesday September 14th at 7:10 AM before school. I will give you all of the information at the meeting.

JUPITER WARRIOR BASEBALL GOLF CLASSIC, OUR ANNUAL BASEBALL GOLF TOURNAMENT is Saturday, October 30, 2021, Time: 8:00 a.m. Shotgun Start at Abacoa Country Club Golf Course. Player Fee: $125.00 prepaid, includes breakfast & lunch to Benefit Jupiter High School Baseball. WARRIOR GUIDES Are you a 9th, 10th, or 11th grader looking for an awesome leadership opportunity, AND you also love Jupiter High School AND enjoy making new friends?  If you answered “Yes” to any or all of these questions, we want you!   We are calling all potential student leaders from all walks of our campus to consider being a Warrior Guide!  As a Warrior Guide, you will volunteer to help new students learn what it means to be a Jupiter Warrior – in other words, learn the 101 of being ONE TRIBE.  If you’d like to learn more about this amazing leadership call, join us in the media center at 2:45 on Wednesday 9/22 or email me  @ [email protected].  

SECME meets today and every Tuesday in the Engineering room 3-101. Come and join the club if you want to design and build things to compete against other schools!

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL had a stellar weekend at the East Coast Challenge tournament in Jensen Beach. They defeated Martin County and Pembroke Pines on Friday, and beat Merritt Island, a highly ranked school, to make it to the semis. In semis they beat Suncoast and then Jensen Beach to win the tournament. This leaves our girls with a 7-0 record. THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW SOCIETY (video) would like to invite you to their first meeting Monday, September 20th at 2:50 pm in room 4-209.  Our focus is on improving leadership skills and learning how to become a highly effective person.  If you are interested in making a difference, raising funds for others or making new friends, come join us! THE NEW COMPUTER SCIENCE HONOR SOCIETY Everyone is invited to join.  The purpose of this organization is to encourage students’ enthusiasm for computer science, to honor academic excellence, and to promote service.  A short introductory meeting will be Friday 9/17 at 2:50 pm in Room 4-209 or online through CSHS Google Classroom Meet link. Classroom Code:  53kyg3k. Application is on Google Classroom.  Due by Friday 9/24/2021. Requirements for CSHS Membership: Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior. Must have taken and passed one Computer Science class. GPA of 3.0 or better.

BOYS BASKETBALL There will be a mandatory tryout informational meeting for all interested in trying out for Boys’ Basketball on today (9/14) directly after school in Coach JD’s room 6-106. If you cannot make the meeting please make sure to stop by Coach JD’s room for the information.

CALLING ALL HOSA MEMBERS! HOSA’s second meeting of this school year will be held in the auditorium after school on September 15th.  New members are welcome!  We look forward to seeing you there!

JHS SWAT  Students Working Against Tobacco will have our 1st meeting of the school year today (9/14) at 2:50 pm in the Media Center Room 1-157. All are welcome.

SGA NEWS
-Student Forum is scheduled for Sep. 21 in the cafeteria during first hour. Teachers, please send one student from your class to ask questions and take notes to bring back to your class.
-SGA is hosting a toy and supply drive to collect new items to help brighten the day of a foster care child in Palm Beach County. Items include new games, toys, puzzles, books, sporting equipment, and more. Community Service will be given for the time spent collecting the items, just attach your name and the name of your first hour teacher to the items. Items can be dropped off in Mr. Deleonardo’s room 4-217 or in front of the main office September 8th-17th.
-The athlete of the week is Austin Paradise. He is a sophomore who is great on and off the football field. Austin volunteers his time after school with sporting events. Austin is a fine young man who is respectful and represents what a warrior is. Thank you Austin for inspiring students and teachers at this school.
-The Teacher of the Week is Mrs. Cummings! If you see her in the halls, be sure to congratulate her!

SAM CLUB MEMBERS All members old and new please plan to attend our first meeting of the year today, September 14th at 3:15.  The meeting is virtual.  Join our Google Classroom.  The code is yk3hfec. See Mrs. Rodgers in Room 7-208 if you need the code or have any other questions.   See you there!

GIRLS WEIGHTLIFTING All 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade Ladies are invited to an informational meeting to plan for this year’s 2021-2022  ladies’ weightlifting season. Meet on Tuesday, September 14th or Wednesday September 15th in room 10-106 promptly at 3:00pm. You will only need to attend 1 of the 2 meetings to get the information you’ll need. So come on out and be a part of the 10 time conference champion Jupiter High School Ladies weightlifting program. There is no experience necessary to be a part of our program.

UNDERCLASS PICTURES are today in the JHS auditorium. Underclass students will get their photos taken via their English class. If you do not have an English class on campus, come to the auditorium any time between 7:30 and 2:45 to get photographed.
