THIS DAY IN HISTORY On September 17, 1787, members of the Constitutional Convention signed the final draft of the Constitution. The Florida Legislature has designated September 17th as “Constitution Day,” and the last full week in September as “Celebrate Freedom Week.” Where we will recite part of the Declaration of Independence to reaffirm the ideals of individual liberty. 

JUPITER HIGH SCHOOL is pleased to announce three seniors as SEMIFINALISTS in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program, Massimo Groves, Morgan Kullen, and Heidi Smithwick! Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements, including a very high academic record, writing an essay, being endorsed and recommended by a school official, and earning a high score on the SAT® or ACT® that confirms the PSAT/NMSQT performance. CONGRATULATIONS to our seniors!!

CROSS COUNTRY Boys: At their last home meet of the year and senior night the boys took 1st place. Theo Endrud led the team placing 1st out of 99 runners followed by James Walter 2nd Aaron Binder 4th Aiden Russo 5th William Nuneville 12th Ben Lammon 13th and Zach Thomas 19th.  The girls took third place at the meet. The team was led by Avery Muse with her first place finish out of 92 runners, followed by Toni Contento 7th Emily McGrail 14th Gracie Sanford 17th Alexa Hansenn 19th Juliet Baltrun 30th and Nina Hughes 34th. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!

FSA RETAKES ARE NEXT WEEK MON-WED. Students who are scheduled to test will be notified by email and your teacher. Please bring your district issued Chromebook (or laptop) and PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS CHARGED! Bring headphones that will plug into your device. Bluetooth headphones are not permitted. Eat breakfast! It’s free on campus. Report directly to the Media Center at 7:30 am on your test day. Do not report to 1st Period. No food or drinks in the Media Center, only water bottles with a lid. Get a good night’s rest! You got this!

DANCE MARATHON Are you interested in becoming part of the largest Philanthropy project here on campus known as The Warrior Dance Marathon? Along with Key Club, Jupiter High School’s Dance Marathon is a club that raises money for Shands Children’s Hospital which benefits the Children’s Miracle Network. From now until the Dance Marathon event in February…….and with your help,  we plan to raise $30,000 for these children. The Warrior Dance Marathon event consists of FREE food, some dancing, games, 30 UF students and special guests of  Miracle Children and their families. FIRST STAR PARTY OF THE YEAR Sep. 20, the Harvest Moon, weather permitting, in Daniel’s Way parking lot, 7-9 pm.  Look for the set up telescopes in the parking lot.

OCEANS FIRST This new club’s purpose is to help improve our beaches by organizing beach clean ups once a month. The google classroom clode is rlbehuw. Our first meeting is Thursday, September 23rd during Lunch B with Mrs.Preston. The meeting will be recorded for those who cannot make it.

NATIONAL FRENCH HONOR SOCIETY Our first meeting will be on September 20 at 2:40 pm in P31. Eligible and existing members must accept the Google Classroom invite to receive any announcements.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT CLUB If you are an advocate of women’s rights, join the Women’s Empowerment Club. Our goal is to support young women on our campus by making a difference in women’s rights! WARRIOR GUIDE Are you a 9th, 10th, or 11th grader looking for an awesome leadership opportunity? As a Warrior Guide, you will volunteer to help new students learn what it means to be a Jupiter Warrior – in other words, learn the 101 of being ONE TRIBE.
