ROJECT GRADUATION is a great night of celebration for our Seniors. The themed evening provides games, prizes, entertainment, food and drinks. It is a fun filled evening for all where Seniors will make lasting memories with their classmates! Underclassmen parents are encouraged to get involved.  Senior parents are busy worrying about college- let’s support the senior class now! Senior parents are of course welcome- be sure to come help make this a great event to send off your Senior. Our first Project Graduation Meeting is scheduled for Thursday 11/18/21 at 6pm in the Media Center.

GIRLS SOCCER Jupiter won 4-2 over Palm Beach Central. Gretchen Duttenhoffer had 7 saves, Melissa Mann scored 4 goals, Kiera Kobey, Olivia Nowlin, and Natalia Ragonese had 1 assist each. We also had the JV team win 7-0. With goals scored by Ryleigh Beazley, Olivia Gilbert, Holly Milsom, Maddy Andrus, Keelin Robertson, and 2 by Marissa DeWitt.

BOYS SOCCER defeated John I Leonard last Friday night by a score of 5 to 0. Scoring for the Warriors was Tanner Najera, Nicholas Hillsberg, Tyler Bonnoront, Jackson Kauppi, and Wilmar Landeverde. The team is now 2-1 for the year.

THE ESPORTS TEAM played Palm Beach Lakes High school last night and the Super Smash team won by a landslide. The Rocket League team also put up a good showing. This was our first official game for the team, Go eWarriors!

AICE EXAM RESULTS: Though students have already received their results from last year via the online tool, the Cambridge exam result certificates from the June 2021 exam series have arrived.  Certificates will be going out this week via first period. If students have questions about results, they can check our website which has a tab with info for understanding scores. (http://jhsaice.weebly.com/exam-results.html). Cambridge Diploma certificates have also arrived. We will be passing out the unofficial diploma results document, which just notes that the student did or did not qualify. If they DID qualify, the official diploma certificate will be handed out at the end of the year during an awards ceremony. Any student with an AICE diploma question or concern should see Ms. Saunders right away to get it straightened out.

SGA NEWS The athlete of the week is James Earle. James is a junior who is on the varsity golf team. James competes at the highest level. James is also going to states to play against the best in the state. James is a fine young man who represents what a warrior is, thank you James for inspiring students and teachers at this school. Teacher of the Week is Mr. Shea. He is a great teacher who inspires his students. If you see him please say congratulations!

SENIORS, please visit the JHS Scholarship Bulletin, https://sites.google.com/palmbeachschools.org/jhs-scholarship-bulletin/home. Two new opportunities were added this week. Scholarship from Florida Retired Educators Foundation, they are looking for seniors who have a 3.0+, minimum of SAT 1000 or ACT 22 composite, must commit to teach in Florida and must attend a Florida college. Award is $4000. You can find the application on the Scholarship Bulletin. 

CALLING ALL DANCE MARATHON COMMITTEE MEMBERS Our first committee member meeting will be this Friday right after school in Portable 1. This is a very important meeting where we begin to delegate roles for this exciting year! Plan on coming, see you all there!

JHS SWAT will be in the courtyard during both lunches on Thursday, November 18th in recognition of the Great American Smokeout. Please stop by the SWAT table to sign a Tobacco Free Pledge.

ATTENTION GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING FLAG FOOTBALL After Thanksgiving, we will have “open field” practices on the practice field every Wednesday after school from 3-4:30pm. You must have your athletic eligibility packet approved and on file with the athletic director before you can participate. INTERESTED IN TRACK AND FIELD THIS SPRING? Come Wednesday after school at the track for information about the team. If you can’t run distance, there are 3 sprints, 2 horizontal jumps, High jump, pole vault and 3 throwing events including javelin! If you can’t make the meeting, stop by P20 for information from Coach Jefferson.

THE RONALD MCDONALD CLUB is hosting a pull tab holiday contest drive in first period classes. You can get them from soda or any other cans. This club’s mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. You can drop off the pull tabs from your first period class in room 4-116. They need to be washed, bagged and labeled with the number of tabs inside. Please have your first period teacher’s name and room number labeled on the submissions. The class that collects the most pull tabs will get baked goods. Start collecting now! Turn in your pull tabs by January 6, 2022.

STUDENT ACES We have a guest speaker coming on campus this Thursday, November 18 during 5th period and lunch. You must have a TLE signed to attend the event. The TLE can be found in Google Classroom or stop by Ms. Jalm’s office. You must also be an ACTIVE member of ACES in order to have your TLE approved.

SOJ SEND OFF SHOW Please join us tonight, November 17th at 8:00 pm as we Send-Off the Spirit of Jupiter Marching Band to the State Championship in Ocala. The event is open to the public at the Jupiter High School field. Get there early by 7:45 to show support to the Spirit of Jupiter Marching Band.

Palm Beach County Library System has partnered with Palm Beach State College and are hosting a free virtual event today (11/17) at 6:30 pm to address anything students are concerned about with the panel! JUPITER HIGH’S LITTLE SMILES CLUB’S holiday toy drive for children in need. Please donate toys to one of the three boxes located in Mrs. Muncy’s room 4-110, Coach Mook’s room 6-215, and Mrs. Hansen’s room 4-206. Toys must have a value of at least $10.
