REMINDER THAT WE WILL BE UTILIZING THE MENTAL HEALTH DAY BELL SCHEDULE TODAY 

THE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM lost a tough game on Monday night to Suncoast in overtime 55 to 57.  Annika Espenship led the team with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Madisson Hartman added 12 points.  Guards Rylee Lewis and Liv Mulham scored 8 points apiece, Lilly Gumson added 7 points and Tracy Heard added 4 points. Tuesday night the Jupiter girls’ varsity team defeated Lake Worth 61-18.  Becca Collins and Caylee Cook each scored 12 points to pace the Lady Warriors.  Senior Abbie Barrows 10 points and Caitlin Stout added 8 points.   The Lady Warriors play their first home game tonight at 7:00 vs Boynton Beach.

PROJECT GRADUATION Warrior Parents & Friends, Project Graduation is a  safe and fun night where seniors celebrate their graduation.  Each year, parents work together to fundraise and plan the event. Our first Project Graduation Meeting is tonight (11/18) at 6 pm in the Media Center. ALL ADULTS WELCOME!

DECA is giving free Munchkins this Friday during A and B lunch, right in front of the Spirit Shop. With your Munchkin, you will also receive a pamphlet full of information about DECA.

CALLING ALL DANCE MARATHON COMMITTEE MEMBERS Our first committee member meeting will be this Friday right after school in Portable 1. This is a very important meeting where we begin to delegate roles for this exciting year! Plan on coming, see you all there!

JHS SWAT will be in the courtyard during both lunches today (11/18) in recognition of the Great American Smokeout. Please stop by the SWAT table to sign a Tobacco-Free Pledge.

GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING FLAG FOOTBALL After Thanksgiving, we will have “open field” practices on the practice field every Wednesday after school from 3-4:30 pm. You must have your athletic eligibility packet approved and on file with the athletic director before you can participate. THE RONALD MCDONALD CLUB is hosting a pull-tab holiday contest in first-period classes. You can get them from soda or any other cans. This club’s mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. You can drop off the pull-tabs from your first-period class in room 4-116. They need to be washed, bagged, and labeled with the number of tabs inside. Please have your first-period teacher’s name and room number labeled on the submissions. The class that collects the most pull-tabs will get baked goods. Start collecting now! Turn in your pull-tabs by January 6, 2022.

STUDENT ACES is having a guest speaker on campus today (11/18) during 5th period and lunch. You must have a TLE signed to attend the event. The TLE can be found in Google Classroom or stop by Ms. Jalm’s office. You must also be an ACTIVE member of ACES in order to have your TLE approved.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVES (November 1-19) Student Government, Key Club, and Young Democrats Club are collecting any non-perishable or canned foods in rooms 4-217, 6-208, P1, or in front of the main office for donation to the Palm Beach County food bank. NHS has a three-can/box minimum. Drop off items to room 1-155 during periods 1-6 and both lunches. Community service hours will be given for time spent collecting items if you leave a note with your name, grade, and student number attached to your donations.

NHS is also collecting new, unwrapped toys through December 12.  Toys for children 10+ are highly needed, but toys for all ages are appreciated.  No realistic-looking weapons or food, please. Earn 2 community service hours and make a huge impact on the children in this county. The drop-off box is in front of the school or you can bring it to Mrs. Sparks’ room 1-155.

JUPITER HIGH’S LITTLE SMILES CLUB’S holiday toy drive for children in need. Please donate toys to one of the three boxes located in Mrs. Muncy’s room 4-110, Coach Mook’s room 6-215, and Mrs. Hansen’s room 4-206. Toys must have a value of at least $10. Visit the Little Smiles Holiday Toy Drive 2021 Wishlist on Amazon for ideas. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Muncy or Magnolia Lang, the club’s president. Thank you for giving back this holiday season.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Applications for the Social Studies Honor Society are due tomorrow (11/19) in Mrs. Hanssen’s room, 6-208. New members will be notified in January. Seniors that applied last year and were accepted, do NOT need to reapply–but please check our Google Classroom page in December for important information.
