CONGRATULATIONS WARRIORS OF THE WEEK EMMA SAWTELL AND HARRYSON MAUGE!

 

ESPORTS The Super Smash Bros team has made it to the next round of the state playoffs. Their next match for the sweet 16 bracket is today. Lets cheer on our online warriors!

 

TRACK –  A HUGE congratulations to District champion James Walter! James won the mile in 4:46. He will be joined by 12 additional athletes advancing on to Regionals, May 7th at Boone High School in Orlando. Theo Endrud – 2 mile, Alexa Hanssen and Angie Jurado – 2 mile, Keegan Castro – 110 hurdles, Ava Woodward – high jump, Tracy Heard – high jump & javelin, Zach Lobel – pole vault, Girls 4 x 800 relay – Alexa Hanssen, Juliet Baltrun, Emma Nordland, Toni Contento, Boys 4 x 800 relay – James Walter, Theo Endrud, Aiden Russo, Aaron Binder. Freshman Rylan Dooley qualified in high jump. Way to go Warriors!

 

SHOUTOUT TO FRESHMAN FLAG FOOTBALL The team finished their season this week as they travelled down south to play Spanish River. The girls won the final game 26-0. This win was their biggest win of the year. Kaitlyn Demaria threw for three touchdowns and Tessa Grimm had three receiving touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball Jayna Baker had an interception returned for a touchdown and Jaden Burke had an interception of her own. The girls had a fantastic season all around and ended the year with a winning record.

 

CONGRATULATIONS  to the girls tennis team for advancing to the Regional Semi-finals. Although they did not advance any further, their loss was to  Spanish River who were the 2021 State Champions. They played amazing and put up a great fight against them. They represented JHS with grace and poise.

 

BOYS VARSITY LACROSSE takes on Palm Beach Central in the Regional Quarterfinals at HOME tomorrow at 7pm.  Come out and cheer on your 2022 District Champions as they work to bring the Regional Championship home again this year!

 

TODAY (4/22) SGA will be hosting a Pre-Prom Care Week assembly during 4th hour in the auditorium. Any senior attending prom who has not yet received an invitation can stop by room 4-217 to pick one up.

 

SOCIAL STUDIES HONOR SOCIETY Attention Class of 2022 members: if you paid for your cord on Cashless schools, please plan on picking it up next Wednesday April 27th or Thursday April 28th during either lunch in the courtyard. Thank you.

BONJOUR all NFHS students ! Your final meeting will be held today (4/22) in Portable 36 during lunch B to elect next year’s Officers and distribute senior graduation stoles. If you are a senior or a prospective officer, please plan on attending. À plus tard!

 

IN HONOR OF AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH, the ASD department is asking for donations of the following items: Small Plushies, Pop-Its, Fidget Spinners, Lanyards, Sunglasses (for girls and boys), Headphones (for computers), Stickers (memes, etc.), Classic Board Games. You can earn hours through the time spent collecting any of these items.   The maximum community service hours you can earn is 5.  Please drop off your items in Room 4-107.  The last day to donate is Friday, May 6th.

 

THE NROTC MARINE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM briefing will be in room 4-112  during both lunches on Tuesday, April 26.
