Jupiter High swim beats Suncoast
On Monday, Sept. 23, Jupiter High’s swim team competed against Suncoast High School, one of their toughest competitors. The girls team won by 84 points, and the boys won by 67.
Junior Caleb Petranchuk commented on his own performance.
“It’s all muscle memory at that point,” Caleb said. “The meets are more competitive and more exciting when we are up against our rivals.”
Petranchuk said the support from his teammates helped him swim better and get excited for the meet. One of his teammates is his freshman sister Sydney Petranchuk,
“I think it’s definitely a special thing that we get to do together,” Sydney Petranchuk said.
Petranchuk made it a point to support his sister as she supported him by being the first person to congratulate her as she reached the wall marking the end of her event. It was clear the whole team had been working hard in the days before the meet.
“The more you practice the more comfortable you are in the water the better you will swim,” Sydney said.
