Girls Golf wins District Championships
The girls golf team won the District Championships at Okeechobee Golf Course on Oct. 14. Martin County High School placed second in the tournament and William T. Dwyer High School placed third.
“It was super exciting to win Districts as a senior and to hopefully end my senior year winning it all. It will take a lot of hard work this next week to prepare for Regionals but hopefully we can bring home a win,” senior Karlyn Falanga said.
Senior Izzy Galla shot a 71. Taylor Oberparletier and Brooke Oberparletier shot 76. Senior Alle Galla and Falanga both shot 79.
“We have been waiting and working so hard for this moment to win Districts and now we have to work even harder to win Regionals. I would really love to end my senior year knowing we did our best and put everything we had into hopefully winning States,” Izzy Galla said.
The regional championship will take place on Oct. 21 at West Orange Country Club.
