Girls golf wins states
Jupiter High’s girls’ golf team won the state championship for the first time in the school’s history. The team won by 21 shots on Oct. 29 and 30. They also finished first at districts and regionals.
Taylor Oberparleiter placed fifth individually, Isabella Galla placed 11th and Brooke Oberparleiter placed 14th.
“To win states my senior year and be on the team when it is the first time ever Jupiter has one states was a big accomplishment and I am so glad I was able to be apart of this experience,” Galla, a senior, said.
Individually, senior Alle Galla came in 16th, and senior Karlyn Falanga placed 37th.
“Playing the sport I love and doing it with a group of my friends really made winning States definitely made it more fun. We worked so hard to win States and to finally being recognized is really rewarding,” Falanga said.
