The Walt Disney Company released its highly-anticipated streaming service, called Disney+. The on-demand streaming platform was made available to American viewers on Nov. 12.

A subscription is $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year. This new streaming platform features content made by Disney, Marvel, Pixar, 20th Century Fox and National Geographic, which are all owned by The Walt Disney Company.

Disney+ features not only classics dating back to the 1940’s, like “Miracle on 34th Street” and “Mary Poppins,” but also new exclusive content including a live-action “Lady and the Tramp.”

Disney is keeping nostalgia and family viewing options in mind when choosing the content to upload to its site as a way to sell its streaming service. Disney+ is expected to have great reviews as it features 7,000 television episodes and 500 films.
