Dance Marathon putting on Holiday Movie Night
Dance marathon is showing “Elf” in the courtyard on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. to raise money for Shands Miracle Network.
“Shands is the University of Florida’s hospital where all of the money raised goes to making life easier for those affected by health challenges,” senior and head of Dance Marathon Maya Milstein said.
Tickets are $10, and students and families are welcome to attend.
“We are committed to sticking to our fundraising goal, but want to involve not only the school but the community as well,” Milstein said. “By doing interactive events like our Holiday Movie Night, we are able to have fun while raising funds for a good cause.”
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and cozy up to watch the movie. Snacks will be sold as well.
“Dance Marathon is important because the money goes to families who can’t afford to pay their medical bills. Their children have serious illnesses and we have to make their lives easier in a stressful time,” Milstein said.
