Jupiter High’s athlete of the week of Jan. 21 is freshman swimmer Colin Rymarz. 

“I love everything about swimming and it is just a good all around sport. Being athlete of the week makes swimming even more special to me and I enjoy being recognized this week,” Rymarz said. 

Rymarz has been swimming since he was just six years old and hopes to continue swimming collegiately if he gets the opportunity. Additionally, when Rymarz is not training for swimming, he enjoys other sports like boxing. He also babysits, landscapes and works at an auto body shop. 

“Sometimes it gets hard balancing everything I want to do but I know what I have to get done in order to be successful. I usually just take one thing at a time,” Rymarz said. 

Rymarz participates in the Criminal Justice Academy and Interact club. Rymarz also qualified for the Regional Swim Competition in Orlando.
