Attention all prospective boys’ basketball players. There will be a conditioning meeting on Wednesday, September 6th directly after school at 2:45pm in Coach JDs room 6-106. Please plan on attending if you are interested in trying out this year.

 

If you like to knit, crochet and/or embroider, join the “Thread Heads” club this Friday September 1st for our first informational meeting. There is no prior experience needed at all! Go to Ms. Ellis’ room 4118  during lunch A or Room 8103 during lunch B. We will have skittles to snack on during both lunches! Hope to see you there!

 

The next Interact club meeting is on 9/7 at 2:45 in the media center. Club members- you have until 9/14 to pay your dues! All members are also reminded to complete the required form and paperwork in Google classroom.

Come join Jupiter High School’s Mental Health Awareness Club! MHA works diligently to improve campus-wide Mental Health across Jupiter High and our local communities by hosting monthly meetings and events that anyone is welcome to attend! Throughout the year, MHA provides club members with community service opportunities and various activities. Through the Mental Health Awareness Club, members have a way to de-stress, help the community, and connect with others involved in the club! Our first meeting of the year will be on Thursday, September 7th, in Mrs. Guzick’s room, 7-212. We will be going over information regarding our plans for this school year and how to get involved. Crumbl cookies will be provided along with a competition for $25 All Sports Grill gift cards! We hope to see many new and familiar faces!

 

If you are seeking the AICE diploma and would like to register for a fall retake exam, the registration deadline for AICE fall retakes has been extended to Friday, September 8th. Retake exams are optional. Visit the JHS AICE website or the 2023-2024 JHS AICE Google Classroom. The code is M Y X H O V W to find the AICE fall retake registration form.

Come and be part of the most inspirational club on campus!!!! The J-H-S Christian League will begin its meetings on Thursday, September 7th before school at 7:10 in Portable 3. The club meets every Thursday morning and is open to all students and staff. Come hear or present an inspirational Bible verse, reflex upon the message, and we’ll end the meeting with a short prayer. We’ll share and embrace the message from Jesus and enjoy a Dunkin munchkin to start off the day!!! See Mr. Ahern in Portable 3 if you have any questions.

Calling all Swifties!! The Taylor Swift Fan Club is here. Not only for fun, we are here to give back to the community. Come to the first meeting on September 7th after school in room 4-106, to learn about our club, and the opportunities that will be available. Snacks will be provided. Meet us in the Afterglow!

 

If you are interested in theatre performance and tech, come to the Thespians meeting every Wednesday and Thursday in the drama room 9-106 and join our troupe! You will select a piece to perform or create tech for, independently or in a group, and will even have the opportunity to compete at the district, state, or even national level! It’s a lot of fun, and offers an amazing experience for anyone who is interested in theatre! Hope to see you there! For more information, see Ms. Knight.

 

Join Jupiter High School’s Helping Hands! Helping Hands is one of Jupiter High’s newest clubs. We aim to give members unique volunteering opportunities through our monthly meetings and events! Community service hours will be offered to those who attend events and become dedicated volunteers.  Helping Hands is a great and interactive way to get involved in community work! Join us for our first ever meeting on September 6th, in Mr. Hagenbuch’s room, portable 15. We will be giving lots of important information regarding our plans for the year, so be sure to attend! Are you interested in Science, Technology ,Engineering, or Mathematics? Do you have an idea for a project that could help our community or the environment? Would you like community service hours? Do you want a chance to win scholarship money or cash prizes?  If any of this sounds interesting to you, or if you would like more information, then stop by the Science Fair google classroom using code: B-Y-G-I-D-A-J and sign up or visit Ms. Buck in room 7-205B during lunch for more information. The first Science Fair planning meeting will be held on Thursday Sept 7th at 2:45 pm in room 7-207. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to compete for cash prizes, scholarships and community service. 

 

Attention students! SGA will be hosting a Hygiene Supplies drive for products such as Shampoo, Bodywash, Deodorant, Tampons, and Pads from August 28th to September 8th. Community service will be given for the time collecting each item. Please drop off your items with your First and Last name as well as Your first period teacher’s name in room 4-106.

Cops and Teens Talk is scheduled for every second Tuesday of the month at the Jupiter Police Department from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm at the Jupiter Police Department Community Room on Military Trail. This program is designed to reach out to teenagers within the Town of Jupiter so they can get to know their local police officers. The program opens up discussions about things that impact a teenager’s life like personal safety, drug and alcohol addiction and mental health.  Community service hours are given for attending as well as pizza, snacks and refreshments.

 

Join Oceans First! Earn community service hours while helping our local beaches, raise money for multiple organizations to help Jupiter’s wildlife, and so much more! Join the google classroom to stay updated on meetings and beach cleanup events. The google classroom code is K-I-A-seven-W-I-seven.

Are you interested in a career in education or just making your school a better place? The Florida future educators of America will have their first meeting today, September 5th at 2:45 in P30. Come join us in helping our teachers and school community!

 

Want to showcase your creative ideas?  Want to meet people who share the same interests as you?  Want to get advice or help with your art? Join the National Art Honors Society!  All you need is a minimum 3.0 in any art class to join!  Officer applications open on Friday, September 1st.  We will hold art critiques every other Wednesday and will offer help with any concerns you may have about your AICE DiĀital Media projects. EverythinĀ will happen in Ms. K’s room, 4-113 at 3pm right after school.

 

Last Thursday, SGA and the Student Aces Club had lunch with ABC’s Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron to talk about scholarships, giving back to the community, and the Andrea C. Cameron Foundation.  Jupiter High School New’s correspondent Oceana has more on this meeting of the minds.
