The Lounge Project is a new club at Jupiter High School that provides students the chance to meet new people, earn community service hours and more. The first meeting will be on Thursday, September 14th in room 1-157, in the media center. Food will be provided.

 

In the mood for some Bolay?  Keep that craving on hold until tomorrow, September 13th.  Bolay is partnering with Jupiter High School’s criminal justice academy to raise money for their students.  Go get your Bolay on Wednesday from 4pm to 9pm and tell the cashier that you’re there to support JHS’s Criminal Justice Academy.

Great news, Warriors. H-J Photo will be on campus today and tomorrow for underclass yearbook pictures. Students in grades 9 through 11 will get photographed via their English class. To pre-order school pictures online, visit H-J Palm Beach dot com, search our school name and select K through 11 portraits.

Homecoming contracts are now available during both lunches.  Tickets will be on sale starting Monday, September 18th.  You must have a contract to purchase a homecoming ticket.  Watch out for more homecoming information coming soon!

 

Attention, seniors, are you a leader among your peers? Have you dedicated your time and energy to helping our school and our community? Are you interested in earning as much as $4,000 toward your college tuition? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you might be a qualified candidate for the prestigious Palm Beach Post Pathfinder Awards. Each year, the Palm Beach Post honors the top seniors in our county in 18 academic, athletic and artistic categories. To be considered, pick up an application in guidance, and complete it in full by Tuesday, Sepember. 26. Attention all prospective Key Club Members: You must have your application submitted to Mr. Struckmeyer in Portable 38 and have paid your dues by tomorrow, September 13 to be a Key Club member for the year!

 

First priority will be having another meeting this Thursday during both lunches in 2111. Come hear an inspirational message, a fun game and positive vibes.

Looking for a club that will give you an opportunity to help others and earn community service hours? Join the Children’s Hunger Fund club!  In this club, we will organize fundraisers and raise awareness for the Children’s Hunger Fund, a national organization that addresses children’s hunger globally. Their first meeting will be in room 6-208 tomorrow, September 13th. We will have a meeting for those interested during both lunches. The Google Classroom code is Q-W-Z-H-S-N-2.

National English Honor Society applicants have been selected. Please swing by 1-155 to confirm your account, get the google classroom code, and provide information. Congratulations! Please see Mrs. Sparks in room 1-155 during periods 1-6 and/or both lunches with any questions.

 

Everyone is invited to join the Computer Science Honor Society. The purpose of this organization is to encourage students’ enthusiasm for computer science, to honor academic excellence, and to promote service. A short introductory meeting will be Wednesday Sept. 13 at 2:50 pm in Room 4-214 or online through CSHS Google Classroom Meet link. The google classroom Code is five-three-K-Y-G-three-K.  The application is on the Google Classroom and is due by Friday September 29th.  It’s open to Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. You must have taken and passed one Computer Science class. You also must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.  If you are interested in signing up for the AFA CyberPatriot Competition please attend the CSHS meeting.

Calling all past members of the Spanish Honor Society! Inviting all the new students who are interested in becoming a member for positive change and be recognized for your high achievements in the Spanish language!  Please come and join us for a fun meeting on today, September 12th at 2:45 in Portable #29 with Ms. Novoa.  Snacks will be provided! If you are unable to attend, you can still join the fun via the Google Classroom Meet link: C-M-seven-six-B-J-A. Nos vemos pronto!

 

Juniors and Seniors who are interested in joining the Science National Honor Society please join the Google Classroom using the following codes for further directions.   Last year’s junior, now seniors do NOT need to reapply or join the classroom, you should already be in the classroom. The google classroom for juniors is five-two-R-V-S-R-V and for seniors, the google classroom code is Z-T-Z-J-U-H-H

Cops and Teens Talk is scheduled for every second Tuesday of the month at the Jupiter Police Department from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm at the Jupiter Police Department Community Room on Military Trail. Their next meeting is today. This program is designed to reach out to teenagers within the Town of Jupiter so they can get to know their local police officers. The program opens up discussions about things that impact a teenager’s life like personal safety, drug and alcohol addiction and mental health.  Community service hours are given for attending as well as pizza, snacks and refreshments.

Join Aces today for their next meeting.  They’ll briefly discuss some time management strategies since they are closing out Week 4 (and progress reports!) before playing two of our planned games! Bring a teammate and help them reach 100 members in attendance in 1 day! Here is a brief recap of their last meeting to give you an idea of what club is like:

Yesterday Jupiter High’s JROTC’s color guard held a small flag ceremony in remembrance of the attacks on September 11th.  It was followed by a brief moment of silence and a speech by Coach D.
