There is a mandatory meeting for players and parents on Thursday, October 19th for any girl interested in playing softball. The meeting is at 6PM in room 10-106 which is behind the gym. If you have any questions, please come by Portable 3 to see Coach Ahern.

 

Last week was action packed with spirit week and homecoming, so up first, let’s talk about that homecoming football game.

From now until Friday October 27, Key Club will be conducting a “Socktober” Supply drive. They will be collecting new, unopened socks, shoes, and underwear to be donated to the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County. Donation bins will be in Portable 38 and the SGA Room.

 

Are you cramming for SAT’s? Retaking AICE exams? Trying out for a winter sport? We’re all so stressed this month! Come talk about it and share your advice with the Morgan’s Message Club on Thursday, October 19th during both lunches. The Lunch A meeting will be held in Portable 6 and the lunch B meeting will be held in room 4-217. Chick-fil-a nuggets will be provided for the meetings while supplies last.

Jupiter High school´s first ever Type One Diabetes Awareness club is back for its second year! Are you looking for a chance to spread awareness and squash the stigma around this disease? Are you in need of community service opportunities? This is the club for you! Their first event is just a few weeks away, 8 a.m on October 28th at Meyer amphitheater. They are partnering with the organization JDRF and participating in the first fundraising walk. Sign up on the JDRF official website and join team T-one-D warriors underscore J-H-S. You will get community service hours for your fundraising attempts and for attending the walk. Come join them! Everyone is welcome and encouraged.

Craving Bolay?  Hold off until Thursday, October 19th.  Then on Thursday, go to the Bolay on West Indiantown road from 4 to 9pm and help Dance Marathon raise money for the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

 

Helping Hands is hosting their second meeting of the year on Friday October 20th, after school in Mr. Hagenbuch’s room, portable 15. We will be giving valuable information about our upcoming volunteering events, along with making crafts for the kids at Quantum House. You will get community service for attending and helping us to make goodie bags and spooky grams! Don’t miss out! Green Team is raising money by selling the cutest Halloween item, Boo Pops.  These blow pops are being sold for a dollar each all this October.  You can purchase them during lunch or from a Green Team member in your class.

 

Childhood Cancer Support Club is hosting its first meeting on tomorrow, October 18th, in Room 1-155 from 2:45 to 3pm. They’ll discuss the club’s mission and community service opportunities. Help make a difference in the world and earn community service. Don’t miss out on this amazing club with its opportunities. There are over 8 officer positions being offered!

Homecoming is in the past, and now it’s time to look forward to prom.  Here is class of 2025’s president Madison with your choices for prom themes.

Attention juniors and seniors–Herff Jones will be on campus on Wednesday, October 18th, all day for Senior Cap and Gown measurements and junior and senior class ring orders. They will be set up in the Auditorium Lobby until 1 pm–Seniors will be measured for caps and gowns with their senior social studies teachers. Juniors can visit the auditorium lobby during lunch for class ring orders and questions!!

 

Listen up juniors and seniors!  We will have many College visits set up where you have the opportunity to get firsthand information from the college of your choice.  If you are interested in any of the Colleges/Universities below please sign up for the visit in the guidance office.  You will need a pass to attend the visit.

 

And for students who are interested in the Coast Guard Academy or joining the Coast Guard. There will be a representative giving a presentation on campus today at 10:00am. You must have signed up in the guidance office and received a pass to attend the presentation.
