On Saturday the JROTC department hosted the coveted and grueling Raiders competition.  12 JROTC programs from South Palm Beach County to South Vero Beach, out to Okeechobee attended the competition.  23 teams and over 300 cadets participated.  The challenge began with a 5k run immediately followed by events including the construction and crossing of a rope bridge, a kettlebell and sprint event, followed by a 380 pound tire flip and ending with a 1 mile run carrying a 130 pound stretcher and 3 back-packs weighing 35 pounds each. The Jupiter male team took 3rd place overall led by Cadet Major Dylan Ruth.  The Jupiter Female team cleaned the house.  Several of the male teams were looking at the bottom of the female shoes as they ran right past them.  Led by Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Morgan Lury, the females took 1st place in every event.  Team work, commitment, technical expertise, and motivation are all key elements of what really sets these teams apart.   The teams have been working hard.  The strength these teams are displaying have brought the fear factor to everyone of their opponents.  If you see any of these amazing team members please congratulate them.  Go Warriors – 1 Team – 1 Tribe.
