In the mood for Chipotle?  Hold off that craving just a bit until Monday.  On December 4th, from 4pm to 8pm, run to Chipotle to support the Drama Club! 33 percent of the proceeds will go to our club. Hope to see you there!

DECA is hosting a New and Gently Used Shoe drive to support 3rd world countries around the globe Starting Oct 23 – Dec 15.  Shoes can be dropped off in the Spearit Shop during lunches, the Front Of the building as you walk in, or in room 4-217. In order to receive community service you will need to put your name, student number and your first hour teacher on the shoes.  Thank you for your support!

First Priority will meet today during both lunches in 2111.  Everyone is invited to hear an inspirational message.

 

If you have recyclables laying around and are in need of community service hours, the Mental Health Awareness club is asking for donations! Help the Mental Health Awareness club by bringing old beach supplies, anything plastic and colorful, winter themed items, and any craft materials to Mrs. Guzicks room in 7-212! The deadline to turn in any objects is December 1st. Service hours will be given for time spent collecting these items.

Want to have fun with friends while helping people in need and earning community service hours? Come join the Cook and Bake club at their annual sandwich making event!  On December 5 after school in room 2-114 to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to be given to homeless shelters around the town. Can’t make it? They are also giving hours for donating bread, Jelly, and Peanut butter from now until December 5th!

The next Interact Club meeting will be on December 4 in the media center at 2:45. All members should attend to hear about important updates for the spring semester.  And a reminder that their Giving Tree will be running until December 13th.  The Interact Club is collecting new, unwrapped toys to support the Chasin a Dream Foundation.  All toys go to local children battling life threatening illnesses and disabilities. Drop off in P30 and earn community service hours for your time spent collecting and organizing the items. Want to sponsor a specific child? Email Ms Buscemi for more information.

The Future Leaders of the U.N. are running their first donation drive of the year! Help them support the local community by donating hygiene items to Ms. Aldrich’s room, 7-205. They are collecting travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitizer, tampons, and pads. The drive will run from December 4th through December 15th. Community service hours will be awarded for time spent organizing and collecting your donations. Donations will be given to and distributed through Extended Hands Community Outreach, Dare to Care, Vita Nova, St Ann Place, and Quantum House. Please do not donate used or opened items. Write your name and student ID number on your donations to ensure that you get your community service hours.

Sunshine Federation is hosting a toy drive to help Jupiter Middle School!  Bring unwrapped toys labeled with your student ID and name to the box in the Atrium or to Ms. Misewich’s room 5-215! Community service hours will be given for time spent collecting items!  Sheets will be emailed to the student numbers labeled on the toys! Let’s help brighten this holiday season for the children! 

 

There’s also Toys for Tots! Help Jupiter High School celebrate the legacy of Edna Runner by donating new, unwrapped toys.  You can drop off the toys to room 1-155 during periods one through six or during both lunches.  Community service hours will  be provided.  The deadline is sixth period on Friday, December 15th.

Helping Hands is also hosting a drive that contributes to Chasin A Dream Foundation’s annual holiday toy drive! Chasin A Dream Foundation assists local families battling life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. All toys collected will go directly to those families in need. You can receive up to 3 community service hours per toy donated. All toys must be new, still in their box, and placed in a bag with your name, student number, number of toys, and grade level attached. Drop donations off to Portable 15 from now until Thursday, December 14th. For more information, join Helping Hands’ Google Classroom with the code J-seven-S-I-X-I-F.

 

And after Helping Hands collects, join them in helping Chasin A Dream Foundation sort toys for their annual holiday toy drive! Volunteers will be sorting toys at Center Park Storage on Sunday, December 17th. This is physical work and requires carrying bags of toys and walking. All members will receive 6 hours of community service for their volunteer work! Whether you’re planning on college, a technical school, or you’re just not sure yet, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities and interests – and help put you on the right course for a satisfying career. The ASVAB is offered to high school students as part of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program. The program provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work. The ASVAB is free of charge and will be administered on Tuesday, December 5th. Signups are in guidance and it’s open to all 10th through 12th grade students.

Attention freshmen! The class of 2027 will be passing out class shirts today during lunch B in room 5-105 and after school in room 5-106. You MUST have a copy of your receipt for class of 2027 dues that can be paid school cash online. Email Ms. Moran with any questions!

 

Attention Seniors! The George Snow Scholarship and the Andrea Cameron Foundation will be on campus December 6th at 9 am for an Informational meeting. If you would like to learn more about either of these opportunities then please sign up in guidance for a pass to attend.

Inkwell has received a surplus of content to feature in their semester one nature-themed magazine. Now they are in search of a cover! The Inkwell Magazine is hosting a cover contest and the winner’s art will be featured on the cover of their semester one magazine! More details and specifications can be found by scanning the QR code to the submission form. The deadline is December first. Be sure to join the Google Classroom to stay up to date with the magazine’s release.
