The Warriors charity dodgeball tournament has been rescheduled to February second.  If you are interested in getting a team of 8 people together to play in the Warrior Ball tournament, the cost is $10 per player. All proceeds will go directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospitals. Have one player from your team stop by Mr. Hammett’s room in portable 1 to pick up the team packet.  Once your captain has the eighty dollars and the packet, he or she will drop off everything to portable 1 by February first.

The JHS Christian League continues to meet and grow every Thursday morning in Portable 3 at 7:10. Students present a bible verse and then they have a discussion among a fellowship of other believers. The meeting ends in a short prayer so if you are running late still come by and share in that.  They are taking their club photo for the yearbook this Thursday at the end of the meeting so anyone who has been at a meeting this school year please come and be in the photo. Their meetings are open to all students and staff.

And if the spirit is still moving you, First Priority will be meeting in their new location: the gym lobby during lunches A and B on Thursday, January 25th.  Please note the new location: the gym lobby.  Come out to hear an inspirational message and enjoy a time of Christian fellowship.

DECA is holding a fundraiser at Bolay on Indiantown Road.  Swing by and grab some food today between the hours of two and 9pm. Make sure when you are checking out that you mention you are there to help support JHS’s DECA program.

And while you’re at it, mark your calendars to go to BurgerFi on Friday to support the drama club!  Twenty percent of the proceeds will go to the drama department to support their competitions and productions. Please mention the drama club at checkout!

It’s Celebrate Literacy Week in Florida! This celebration is designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading and to inspire Florida’s students and families to make reading part of their daily routines.

((MARCELLE))

According to the most recent National Assessment of Educational Progress report only 14% of students say they read for fun every day.  We know there has to be more of you out there, Jupiter High.  So tell us, what are you currently reading?
