Jupiter High students embraced the dress-up days of homecoming week Oct. 30 to Nov. 4. Student Government Association (SGA) organized the dress-up days.

Homecoming week began with “Class Color Day” where students wore their class colors to show their Warrior pride at the homecoming pep rally before second period. Freshmen wore white, sophomores wore yellow, juniors wore green and seniors wore black.

Freshman Megan Fritz dressed all in white.  “I was skeptical about it at first, but when I saw other people dressed up I felt better,” Fritz said. “It was my first time, so I had no clue what to expect. But I’m happy of the outcome.“

Michael Deleonardo emceed the pep rally that began with a fun game of Memory Match between each class. Deleonardo then recognized the homecoming court representatives who played a game of human musical chairs. After the seniors won, they earned the spirit stick.

Tuesday was “Trend Day.” Students sported Silly Bandz bracelets, 80s attire, leg warmers and Juicy Couture track suits. Wednesday was “Generation Day,” a favorite among Warriors. Freshmen dressed as babies and wore onesies.  Sophomores were elementary school students and wore old school uniforms and safety patrol belts. Juniors were the working class, and seniors were senior citizens. Seniors wore slippers, robes and hair caps and carried canes.

Sophomore Claudia Desena loved dressing as an elementary school student and wore a collared shirt, a safety patrol belt and khaki pants. She carried around a photo of her from when she was in elementary school to show that she was dressed exactly like she was in the photo.
