FSA make ups will be in the Auditorium Monday and Tuesday November 9th and 10th.

FREE! FREE! FREE!!!  ALL STUDENTS! SCHOOL BREAKFAST AND LUNCH IS FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2021! Please choose to dine with us in the cafe or grab a meal and take it outside to enjoy with the company of friends.  We are adding the Sub Station Cart in the courtyard as staffing allows to encourage distancing and shorten the lines.  We in the cafe need your support and enjoy seeing each of you everyday!  If you have any suggestions for meals you might like to see on the menu, please feel free to speak to someone or drop us a note with your suggestion.  We are trying hard to do our best and serve you the meals that you enjoy in a safe manner.  Looking forward to seeing you.

RED CROSS MEMBERS We will be making cards for the veterans after school on Monday November 9th, in room 7-101. You will be receiving service hours for making cards. If you’re not a member, you can still join and get hours too! See you there!

ATTENTION ALL NHS MEMBERS! Dues collection will take place on Tuesday and Thursday,11/10 and 11/12) next week during both lunches. Please bring the dues to Mrs. Sparks’s room 1-155. It is at the end of the hallway next to the library. New members have to pay $40 and returning members must pay $10. Virtual learners: there is an opportunity to pay this on palmbeach.schoolcashonline.com. Email [email protected] with questions. Remember, failure to pay dues will invalidate your membership.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS Are you interested in being a part of the National Social Studies Honor Society?  If you have a 3.0 semester grade average in EVERY Social Studies course taken, a 3.0 overall GPA, and no out of school suspensions, you can apply!  Online applications are available on your social studies teachers’ google classrooms. Hard copies can be found in Mrs. Hanssen’s room, 5-112. All hard copies must be turned into the front office bin or to room 5-112 when completed. If you are a senior and were accepted last year, you DO NOT need to reapply.

THIS FRIDAY’S FOOTBALL GAME Is a blackout and Stadium Grill is set to live-stream the game at 6PM.

SPORTS Any students wishing to try out for winter sports, your eligibility packet needs to be turned in this week if you want to be ready to start on day 1. The last day to turn them in is November 13, no exceptions.

BASEBALL Mandatory baseball players meeting at the field today (11/6).  9th & 10th graders at 3pm, and then 11th & 12th graders at 3:30pm. Any questions see Coach Mook or email him at [email protected]

GIRLS BASKETBALL Any girl interested in playing basketball for JHS this year should either stop by and see Coach Lynch in portable 5 or email him at [email protected] In order to try out you must complete the entire athletic packet on the school website and turn it into our athletic director ASAP.  You may not try out or participate until it is turned in and approved.

ATTENTION SENIORS! Are you a leader among your peers?  Have you dedicated your time and energy to helping our school and our community?  Are you interested in earning as much as $4,000 toward your college tuition?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you might be a qualified candidate for the PRESTIGIOUS 2021 PATHFINDER AWARDS. LATINOS IN ACTION PROJECT TOYS FOR TOTS TO GUATEMALA Donate unwrapped toys (cars, trucks, puzzles, dolls, action figures, teddy bears, other small toys) Bring your donation to the courtyard from 7-7:30 am now (until Nov. 20). You may receive 2 community service hours for each toy donated.

SPEAK UP FOR KIDS Is putting together 15 baskets filled with essentials for kids in need. For every $10 of items donated, 1 community service hour will be awarded through the Speak up for Kids and Guardian ad Litem Foundation. Bring all sealed and unused donations to Rm 6-207. JUPITER POLICE DEPARTMENT COPS TEENS TALK Is upcoming on November 10 at 3:15. Reminder it is located in the New PD community room located across the way from the community center.  The program is an opportunity for you to meet your local police officers and discuss topics that are important to high school teens like you. Topics include personal wellbeing, personal safety, mental illness, school safety, drugs and alcohol addiction, police interactions, social media, bullying, and more.  Come build relationships, enjoy some food as well as earn community service hours. We will be taking extra safety precautions. Areas will be thoroughly sanitized, social distancing will be practiced, and masks will be mandatory unless eating.
