REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER DUAL ENROLLMENT at Palm Beach State College is now open. Registration for Fall Dual enrollment will begin in a couple of weeks. We will also have a dual enrollment information meeting for students and parents who want to learn about the dual enrollment opportunity. This will be held on April 7th at 6:30 pm in our auditorium and is open to all.

 

PBSC INVITES SENIORS TO JOIN THE NEXTGEN SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM. This year’s Program is FREE and includes educational college readiness workshops, fun cultural enrichment activities, and meaningful faculty, staff, and peer networking opportunities. Over eight days, students are connected to academic and wraparound support services to help ensure their success at PBSC. The scholarships close Friday 4/30/2022. PBSC has 200 slots remaining so we encourage you to apply to PBSC and the Foundation Scholarships today before they are gone! https://www.palmbeachstate.edu/SummerPrograms/SummerBridge/

 

THE ASVAB CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work. The ASVAB is free of charge and will be administered on Thursday, April 11. Signups are in the guidance office. Spots will be based on first come first serve. See Mrs. DeCabia in Guidance if you have any questions. An ASVAB Prep Course is available in Petersen’s Test Prep in the Gale Research Tile in your Portal.

 

THE BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT is hosting tutoring sessions for ALL Biology students. Tutoring will take place in the Media Center from 2:45-3:45 pm every Tuesday and Thursday until April 28. Sessions will focus on the EOC review packet handed out to students in class. Students do not need to sign up ahead of time and will get extra credit for each session they attend. 

 

SENIORS Today’s Graduation Meeting takes place in the Auditorium during your English Class. There will be a Review of All Things Graduation-Related, Including Tickets, Dress Code, Requirements, Venue, Etc.  This Is A Very Important Meeting With A Lot Of Information.  If you don’t have an English class, please attend during another class period 1-6. Check-in with your teacher first.

 

SENIORS Use the link to nominate a Royal Couple for Prom King & Queen.  The form will be accepting responses until Monday, April 4th at 2:40 pm.  Voting will take place once we have finalized the Prom Court. https://forms.gle/ShKv1WtCZ3ceGkkN7

 

SENIOR ATHLETES The Wall of Fame ceremony will be on May 10. If you believe you should be a part of this as an individual athlete who was named 1st team all-county or 1st team all-conference by the Sun-Sentinel or Palm Beach Post, please reach out to Ms. Jalm ASAP to ensure that you are recognized.

SENIORS TO BE, Do you want a Parking Pass? Here’s what you have to do:

You MUST have at least a 2.5 GPA and take the EOC History Exam

You MUST NOT have had 10 or more absences per semester to ANY classes in SY21-22

You MUST have completed at least 20 hours of community service.

You MUST NOT have any outstanding obligations to JHS

You MUST NOT have had any major referrals. (Administration Discretion)

Parking passes will be sold to Rising Seniors ONLY from April 18-May 6 for $125.

Passes will continue to be sold throughout the summer until they are gone!

 

JUNIORS TO BE, Do you want a Parking Pass? Here’s what you have to do:

You MUST have at least a 3.0 GPA 

You MUST NOT have had 10 or more absences per semester in ANY classes in SY21-22

You MUST have completed at least 20 hours of community service

You MUST NOT have any outstanding obligations to JHS

You MUST NOT have had any major referrals (Administration Discretion)

Parking passes will be sold to Rising Juniors starting May 9 for $125.

Passes will continue to be sold throughout the summer until they are gone!

SPIRIT OF JUPITER MARCHING BAND The defending state champions are having an informational meeting on April 4th at 6:00 PM in the auditorium to discuss the upcoming marching season.  All are welcome to attend if you would like to join, and there is no experience required!  If you have any questions about the band, color guard, or percussion, please feel free to find Mr. Ross in Room 8-103 or email [email protected]

 

THE FUTURE LEADERS OF THE UNITED NATIONS is having a trail clean-up on Sunday, April 3 at Abacoa Community Park from 10 am – 12 pm. Double community service will be awarded if you stay for the full two hours. Sign up on our google classroom with code 42fhdj3. See you all there!

 

BEST BUDDIES has a lunch meeting today (3/31).  We will make posters for the Friendship Walk.  Hope to see you there.

 

BOYS LACROSSE plays TODAY at St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale. The JV game starts at 6 pm and Varsity begins at approximately 8 pm.
