Athlete of the Week: Savannah Woods
Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 11 was sophomore Savannah Woods, a libero on the girls varsity volleyball team.
Woods has played volleyball since she was 7-years-old and has played on JHS’s varsity team since her freshman year.
“I hope to go to a collegiate level volleyball program in which it would allow me to play beyond high school,” Woods said.
Woods practices three times a week. She also manages her time to academics and is ranked in the top 50 of the class of 2022.
“I have gone to Nationals every year since I was 12 years old with my club team Tribe Volleyball Club, and I hope to attend this year as well,” Woods said.
