THE CHILDHOOD CANCER SUPPORT CLUB is having a meeting on Wednesday, January 27th at 3:15PM.  Please join the google classroom Sq43vyi to hear about the community service opportunities for the second semester.  New members are welcome.

FOOTBALL There will be a meeting on Wed. Jan. 27 at 3:00pm in Room 10-104 for anyone interested in playing football.  Meeting should last no longer than 30 minutes.  Please see Coach Tharp if you have any questions.

11TH ANNUAL JERFSA 5K GREEN RUN will be virtual this year! What does this mean? You can run/walk the 5K anywhere you want and you can do it at any time that works best for you within a 10-day range (2/19/2021 – 2/28/2021). We are also hosting a 1K Kids race. Attend ONE mandatory meeting. NEW seniors meet: Thursday Jan. 28th during 7th hour. Juniors: attend ONE of these meetings (use GM on SSHS Class of 2022 Google Classroom) Wed. Jan 27th: B Lunch, Wed. STUDENTS HELPING ANIMALS is collecting canned dog and cat food during the month of January. One can will equal 1 community service hour. Bring all your items and your community service form to P12 or room 5-211.

BEST BUDDIES will have a virtual club meeting on Tuesday, January 26th at 4:00.  The theme will be PET SHOW AND TELL.  If you have a pet, please be ready to share a photo, its name and something that’s funny about your pet.  If you don’t have a pet, show us something that’s important to you.  Hope to see you all there.  Check out our Google classroom for more information.

GREEN TEAM members will be taking orders for $1 CARNATIONS to be delivered to your special someone, a friend, or even someone you secretly admire. Each flower will be delivered with your own special message on February 12th during 2nd period. Order your Valentine flowers now through February10. See any Green Team member (look for students carrying Flower Boxes) or Dr. Thornton in room 3-108.

Congratulations to the athlete of the week, Amanda Dewitt! Amanda was featured recently in the Sun Sentinel as the girls volleyball player of the year and has signed with University of South Florida to play volleyball.

Reminder: This week is paraprofessionals appreciation week

The teacher of the week is Mr. Kovachik. He is extremely helpful, kind, and loved by many of his own students as well as students who do not have him personally. 

We had several submissions for our pet contest last week on Instagram, and it was a very tough decision to choose the winners. But now we have for you, the top five pets. 

In fifth place, we would like to congratulate Lulu the Hedgehog. Additionally, congratulations to Beach the Dog for winning fourth place. In third place we have Luca, also a dog. In second place is Boone and the moment you’ve been waiting for, congratulations to Hazel, our first place winner! We will be sending you a gift card as reward for your adorableness.
