FRIENDLY REMINDER that the John C. Giba Student Leadership, Cary Stamp Scholars Fund and Chamber Foundation Scholarship Awards Application is open and the deadline is quickly approaching. The Saltchuk Giving Committee has provided an additional $10k towards the Chamber Foundation’s Scholarship Fund for this year’s awards cycle.  We look forward to receiving applications from the many outstanding students we have in our Palm Beach North communities and are thankful to the generous support of our partners, for making these scholarships possible. GOOD MORNING from the cafeteria!  National School Breakfast Week begins on Monday and the theme this year is “Score Big with School Breakfast”. Come and enjoy our great hospitality and delicious breakfast!  We invite you to celebrate with us and remember breakfast is free for all students!

COURSE SELECTION SY22 Are you interested in being part of the award-winning journalism program at Jupiter High? Do you love photography, graphic design, or writing? Do you enjoy participating in off-campus workshops and being part of a creative team? Do you want to build your high school resume for college? If so, email Mrs. Muncy for a yearbook or newspaper application. Both yearbook and newspaper are journalism honors classes. Applications are due Friday, March 26. This is an extended deadline.

BEST BUDDIES  will have a virtual meeting on Monday, March 8th. We will be making posters for the Friendship Walk. Look in the Best Buddies Google classroom for the info to go on the posters. We will have a fundraiser on March 9 at Culver’s. We will collect the posters there.

WE ARE NAMING THE PORTABLES! As the brick-and-mortar Jupiter Warriors may know, we have two rows of portables, The first one being Portables 1-20, and the other being 24 through 46. We have two name options, these would be in sets. Option One is Green Way and Gold Street. Option Two is Warrior Way and One Tribe Trail. We will be sending out a google form shortly via email for you to vote.

MEDIA CENTER NEWS Our digital magazines are active. We are using the FLIPSTER app as our delivery platform. To view the magazines from your computer go to your District Portal and search for the Destiny tile. click on the Flipster icon on the landing page. Our user name is: jupiterhs. The Password is: warrior-21. Click on the word Flipster. To view the magazines on a mobile device download the FLIPSTER app and use the same credentials. Currently we have 13 subscriptions including The New Yorker, National Geographic, Men’s Health, National Park Trips, Food Network Magazine, Wood Magazine, Consumer Reports Buying Guide, The Atlantic, Astronomy, Food & Travel Magazine, Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Ocean Animal Patterns, Legend of the Mantamaji: Book One, 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens Workbook. CLASS OF 2023 MASK DESIGN CONTEST Pick up a white mask at the Table set up in the courtyard near Guidance. Contest winners will be announced on March 23. All grade levels are encouraged to participate. One winner will be selected from each grade. Teachers are encouraged to join in on the fun. Gift Certificates will be given out. Win a free lunch.

SGA NEWS We are now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. If you are a current 8th, 9th, or 10th grader, you can now apply to join SGA through our website, https://sites.google.com/stu.palmbeachschools.org/jhssga/sga-applications. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Applicants, make sure to follow the directions on the application. All tenth and eleventh graders with an UNWEIGHTED GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible. The application can be accessed in room 1-155, on the NHS cart outside of the main office, and on the JHS website.  The applications are due Friday, March 26th, by 2:45. Any applications submitted outside of the time frame will not be processed.
