CONGRATULATIONS to the Girls Cross Country JV and Varsity team for a great  job in Wednesday’s County Championship.  The JV girls placed 2nd overall and the following all brought home medals placing in the top ten:  Lauren Rowley, Ella Jesteadt, Sloan Vulgaris, and Sydney Shaffer.  Toni Contento placed 7th overall in the Varsity race, also bringing home a medal and running a PR in a super time of 19:58.  Awesome race Toni!!!!   The Varsity girls will run next Wednesday in the District Championship.  Good luck ladies!

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY The team competed in the Palm Beach County Championships, Wed, Oct 20th, at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. The Boys varsity placed 4th led by senior James Walter, placing 20th overall and the next 5 Jupiter runners finishing in the next 20 places. The JV boys placed 2nd with 3 earning medals, placing in the top 15: Connor Opton, 11th, Aden Vargas 12th and Izan (Ethan) Gonzalez-Fayos 14th. The varsity runners will compete at districts next Wednesday. Great job, Warriors!

JOIN JUPITER HIGH’S NEW CLUB, MODEL UN! If you enjoy discussing current global issues and are interested in debate and public speaking, this is the club for you. Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly and its other multilateral bodies where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as gender equality, climate action, global health, and more. THE GREEN TEAM will be selling GHOST LOLLIPOPS  for the next two weeks at lunches before school or find a Green Team Member with a box! They are frightfully fun!

THE PENNY WAR among the Class of 2024, Key Club, Interact Club, and HOSA IS ENDING TODAY.  Be sure to look for the jugs in Mrs. Gilbert, Mr. Hammett, Mrs. Buscemi, and Mrs. Jenkins classroom. The money will go towards Be The Match, an organization that aids in bone marrow transplant. The club that has the most points, wins a pizza party!!!

SAM CLUB The next meeting is on Monday, October 25th at 3:00pm.  Please plan to attend. We have lots of upcoming events to discuss!  The meeting will be virtual. 

FIRST PRIORITY MEETS in the courtyard by the ceramics room again Tuesday during B lunch. We are going to have a game, food and an inspirational message.  Everyone is invited.

PICTURE RETAKES are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the JHS auditorium. CADY Studios photographers will be on campus from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Muncy or any yearbook staffer.

LATINOS IN ACTION is collecting travel size bottles of soap, as well as bars of soap for students and families of Jupiter Elementary. We will be in the courtyard today through 11/3 from  7-7:25 am. Please donate and receive community service hours.

BEST BUDDIES will have their matching party on Friday, October 29th.  Please go to room 4-217 during YOUR lunch.  Pizza and drinks will be served.  Only students who have signed up for Best Buddies online will be able to join us.

ATTENTION JHS STUDENTS The next My Friends Closet clothing drive will be on  November 11th so we are collecting clothes for the next few weeks. If you would like to donate any clothing, you can bring it to Miss Ellis’ room 4-118. To receive community service hours, you may help at the clothing drive or assist in organizing clothes beforehand. Join the google classroom for any/all questions! (wvae55u).

BOYS BASKETBALL Anyone interested in trying out, please make sure to turn in a completed athletic packet to Coach JD in room 6-106 by Monday, October 25th. Tryouts will begin Monday, November 1st. You will not be permitted to try out if you have not turned in a fully completed athletic packet.
