JUPITER HIGH SCHOOL JROTC MARKSMANSHIP TEAM took 1st Place in the Atlantic High School Postal Match.  The team included Leslie Diaz who also took 2nd Place Overall, Abigail Blalock, Hunter Curry, Julian Cunningham.  The 4th place team overall was composed of Ervin Coss, Ryan Jackson, Yosmery Quinonez, and Ava Williams.  The Freshman Team composed of Yisleni Ramos, Ty Lambert, Ryan Bournes, and Cole Cilento achieved 7th Place. 

GOOD NEWS, SENIORS. CADY Studios will be on campus on Tuesday, Nov. 9, for a last-call road shoot for senior portraits. If you still haven’t taken your senior pictures, now is your chance. CADY will be doing the yearbook pose only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the JHS auditorium. You must sign up for an on-campus portrait session with Mrs. Muncy in room 4-110. And just a reminder, the deadline to take senior portraits for inclusion in the yearbook is Nov. 30.

WORLD ETHICS CLUB asks you to donate warm winter clothes in good condition for the Homeless Coalition through Wednesday, November 10th. This can include coats, long sleeve shirts, pants, and socks! JV FOOTBALL BANQUET A reminder to all JV Football players that your banquet will take place on Wed. evening in our school cafeteria at 6:00 pm.  Please see Coach Freeman or Coach Tharp if you have any questions.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE From November 1st until November 19th, Student Government, Key Club, and Young Democrats Club are holding our annual canned food drive. Please donate any non-perishable or canned foods to rooms 4-217, 6-208, P1, or in front of the main office for donation to the Palm Beach County food bank. Community service hours will be given for time spent collecting items if you leave a note with your name, grade, and student number attached to your donations.

TENNIS Any girl and boy interested in trying out for tennis this season, please plan on attending the meeting on November 16th right after school in room 4-212. Paperwork and important information will be given out. Any questions, please reach out to Coach Babcock in room 4-212 or Coach Lang in room 4-107.

MEET THE SCIENTIST LECTURE is back on Nov. 3 at 7 pm in the JHS Auditorium. Catie Sprague from the Solid Waste Authority will use her art history storytelling experience to teach us what happens to our waste and the importance of recycling right.

JUPITER HIGH SCHOOL FESTIVAL OF BANDS is scheduled for this Saturday, November 6th. We are expecting a busy day hosting 25 bands from Palm Beach and neighboring counties. It is the largest regional event taking place in the State of Florida this year. Our very own Spirit of Jupiter will be performing last at 8:45 pm. Tickets are now available on GoFan. Volunteers are needed for the PM shift from 4-10:30 pm. SENIORS interested in learning more about how to complete the George Snow Fund Scholarship Application may sign up in the guidance office to attend the meeting on 11/4 at 9 am.  The George Snow Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance and support services to scholarship recipients so they have the resources they need to thrive academically.  Seniors only, please sign up in guidance to attend the scholarship information session to be held on 11/4 at 9 am.

MISS BUSCEMI’S SPANISH 2 CLASSES Pulsera Project is selling hand-woven bracelets and purses made by artisans in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Bracelets cost $5 and the bags cost $10. Each one comes with a tag specifying which artisan created it and they all have unique designs. We will be selling them during both lunches in the courtyard today – 11/12.

NHS is collecting new, unwrapped toys now through December 12.  Toys for children 10+ are highly needed, but toys for all ages are appreciated.  No realistic-looking weapons or food, please. Earn 2 community service hours and make a huge impact on the children in this county. The drop-off box is in front of the school or you can bring it to Mrs. Sparks’ room 1-155.

LATINOS IN ACTION is collecting travel-size bottles of soap, as well as bars of soap for students and families of Jupiter Elementary. We will be in the courtyard from 7-7:25 am thru Nov. 3. Help us reach our goal of 300 donations and receive community service hours.
