CONGRATULATIONS TO JUPITER’S NEW MAYOR, JIM KURETSKI, and his family who are part of our Warrior Tribe. Terri, his wife, was our longtime Parent Volunteer Coordinator, and their 3 daughters graduated as Sal, Val, and Class President!

CHILDHOOD CANCER SUPPORT CLUB! Members, Our celebratory party and last meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, April 5th in Mrs. Rodgers’ room 7-208.  Treats and annual wrap-up!  Let’s go!

 

BOY’S WEIGHTLIFTING TEAM Last Thursday was senior night and the team defeated Dwyer, Santaluces, and Suncoast. Congratulations to seniors Blaine Baxter, Desean Barrett, Elliot Beisner, Christian Collins, Kevin Cardenas, Doug D’amelio, Barrett Dinger, Zach Forte, Taylor Orr, Marco Thomas, and Dakota Vinyard. Our next meet is April 1st for the district championship at Seminole Ridge.

 

THIS WEEK IN ART – NATIONAL AWARD! Congratulations to 11th grader S. Johnson who won First Place in the Equal Pay Day Art Contest, judged by the U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh and the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Julie Su. 

 

GIRLS BEACH VOLLEYBALL Our team has their last two home games this week at Jupiter Community Park. They play Wellington on Tuesday and Calvary Chrisitian on Wednesday, both at 3:30. Come out and support the Warriors in their inaugural season!

 

BOYS LACROSSE takes on Boca Raton in their last HOME game of the season TOMORROW, March 29.  It’s SENIOR NIGHT, so come out early and help us honor our awesome senior players.  The JV game has been canceled; Senior Night festivities start at 6:25 pm, and Varsity begins at approximately 7 pm. FLAG FOOTBALL won 6-0 against Palm Beach Gardens High School last Wednesday. Jayden Walker intercepted the ball for the winning touchdown. There was an additional interception by Alexa Shea and great drives thrown by Mackenzie Gail and Gracie Sanford. Wish them luck for their away game tomorrow (3/29) against Royal Palm Beach.

CHASEWOOD ANIMAL HOSPITAL came to Ms. Roger’s class to talk about their rescue, and to show the students some of the kittens who they helped through the class community service project. We would like to say THANK YOU to anyone who donated items to the Chasewood Animal Hospital. 

 

BEST BUDDIES We have two events this week.  On March 30, we will meet at Jupiter community Park to watch the beach volleyball game.  Plan on being there by 3:30.  We will also have a lunch meeting on Thursday, March 31.  We will make posters for the Friendship Walk.  Hope to see you there.

 

JHS BLACK STUDENT UNION The new date for the Next Meeting is Tuesday, March 29, after school in Mrs. Carlisle’s room 5-211. All students, faculty, & staff are welcome!

 

THE FUTURE LEADERS OF THE UNITED NATIONS will have their next meeting on Tuesday (March 29th) after school in Mrs. Aldrich’s room 7-206 to discuss upcoming community service events. You may also join virtually through our google classroom. New members are always welcome. Hope to see you all there!

 

STUDENTS AGAINST MELANOMA SAM Club Members – Our last meeting of the year will be Thursday, April 7th in Mrs. Rodgers’ room at 2:45 pm.  Please plan to attend!  End-of-year beach event and art contest will be announced! Snacks provided for in-person attendees. If you are already home, you are welcome to log onto a Google Meet.

 

The JSU meeting will be held Tuesday, March 29, at B lunch in P42.

 

THE SIMON BAKER SCHOLARSHIP has opened for applications. Students need to join the Google Classroom in order to fill out and submit the application. The code is lfrxqn4, and if you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Jalm. All JHS Seniors are welcome to apply. The deadline to submit is April 15 at 11:59 pm

 

ESOL STUDENTS & FAMILIES Mark your calendar! We will have a family information night for you and your families at 6 p.m. on March 30. The meeting will be virtual, so make sure to join our Google Classroom for ESOL families so that you can get the meeting code the night of the meeting.  We will discuss a lot of important topics, such as how to be successful in school, passing the reading test for graduation and so much more! See you then!
