Today is Take Down Tobacco Day, a national day of action that empowers people to stand up and speak out against the tobacco industry. Every spring, hundreds of communities hold events and rally together to Take Down Tobacco. Please join JHS SWAT in raising awareness during lunch today in the courtyard.

 

HOSA will be collecting new and (slightly)  used books in good condition starting April 4th until April 15th. These books will be for students, ages 5-11, and will be donated to Jupiter Elementary School. Community service hours are available for your planning and collection efforts. Thank you!

 

JOIN JHS GREEN TEAM! Help the Earth and receive community service hours: Monthly community service opportunities, Daily recycling during lunch. Meetings every Wednesday during Lunch B in room 3-108.

 

REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER DUAL ENROLLMENT at Palm Beach State College is now open. Registration for Fall Dual enrollment will begin in a couple of weeks. We will also have a dual enrollment information meeting for students and parents who want to learn about the dual enrollment opportunity. PBSC INVITES SENIORS TO JOIN THE NEXTGEN SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM. This year’s program is FREE and includes educational college readiness workshops, fun cultural enrichment activities, and meaningful faculty, staff, and peer networking opportunities. Over eight days, students are connected to academic and wraparound support services to help ensure their success at PBSC. The scholarships close Friday 4/30/2022. PBSC has 200 slots remaining so we encourage you to apply to PBSC and the Foundation Scholarships today before they are gone!

 

THE ASVAB CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work. The ASVAB is free of charge and will be administered on Thursday, April 11. Signups are in the guidance office. Spots will be based on first come first serve. See Mrs. DeCabia in guidance if you have any questions. An ASVAB Prep Course is available in Petersen’s Test Prep in the Gale Research Tile in your Portal.

SPIRIT OF JUPITER MARCHING BAND The defending state champions are having an informational meeting April 4th at 6:00 PM in the auditorium to discuss the upcoming marching season.  All are welcome to attend if you would like to join, and there is no experience required!  If you have any questions about band, color guard, or percussion, please feel free to find Mr. Ross in Room 8-103, or email [email protected]

 

THE FUTURE LEADERS OF THE UNITED NATIONS is having a trail clean-up on Sunday, April 3 at Abacoa Community Park from 10am – 12pm. Double community service will be awarded if you stay for the full two hours. Sign up on our google classroom with code 42fhdj3. See you all there!

 

CHILDHOOD CANCER SUPPORT CLUB! Members, Our celebratory party and last meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, April 5th in Mrs. Rodgers’ room 7-208.  Treats and annual wrap-up!  Let’s go!

 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY will hold its last meeting of the year on Tuesday, April 5th after school at 2:45 in Portable #29, with Ms. Ferrer and Ms. Novoa. If you are already home, tune in via Google Meet by using the code: cm76bja.  We will thank our Officers for their dedication this year, enjoy some snacks if you are attending in person, volunteer hours, and other end of the year important issues.  ¡Muchas gracias!

 

STUDENTS AGAINST MELANOMA SAM Club Members – Our last meeting of the year will be Thursday, April 7th in Mrs. Rodgers’ room at 2:45 pm.  Please plan to attend!  End-of-year beach event and art contest will be announced!
