Warriors softball and baseball both defeat Park Vista in postseason play last year.

The Jupiter High Warriors baseball and softball teams look to start their season off hot. Last year, both softball and baseball made it to the state semi-final championship game. Softball finished with a record of 25-3, and baseball finished 22-7-2.

“We definitely lost some key players, our pitcher for the past two years, Ally Costa, left some big shoes to fill; but there’s not a doubt in my mind that we will keep up our great reputation,” starting right fielder, junior Kendall Baer said.

The girls plan to repeat their dominant season, and look to win districts over their biggest rival, the Palm Beach Gardens Gators.

Last season, Warrior baseball lost a tough one at states to Timber Creek with a score of 4-2 on June 2 at Century Link Park in Ft Myers, Fla.

When asked how to bounce back from a tough states loss, senior right fielder Ricky Clark said, “you have to use it as motivation. Motivation to not only get back into that position, but go even further and win it all. “

The lady Warriors have three returning seniors on this year’s roster, and baseball has eight returning seniors.
