Kendall Baer, senior captain of the Jupiter High softball team, committed to Georgia Gwinnett College to play softball at the next level. Baer has been on varsity for four years, was captain her junior year and will continue as captain her senior year.

Baer contemplated attending other schools, in particular Palm Beach Atlantic University and Rollins College, but Georgia Gwinnett College was the best fit for her.

“I decided to commit to Georgia Gwinnett College because not only are they an amazing program, they also are an extremely family-oriented team. And that’s really important to me,” Baer said.

Georgia Gwinnett College has one of the best softball programs in the nation. They have earned a number one national ranking and just qualified for its first NAIA World Series.

Baer is not new to winning championships. During her time at Jupiter High, the Lady Warriors have won three conference championships, two district championships and one regional championship. Baer hopes to win the state championship in the upcoming spring season that begins in Jan.

In 2016, Baer made the Miracle Sports All-State First Team and Sun-Sentinel All-County First Team.

On Oct. 19, Baer went on an official visit to the Georgia Gwinnett campus and will formally sign in Nov.

Although softball is Baer’s main focus at the moment, she hopes to pursue medicine or marine biology in college.
