Shayna Lagos, junior, has been a part of the Jupiter War Cry staff for the past two years and is the Managing and Sports editor this year. Lagos enjoys baking, writing and reading in her spare time. Lagos played soccer for three years and it remains her favorite sport. “My favorite team is FC Barcelona, always, but generally wherever Messi is,” Lagos said. With her passion for soccer, Lagos has been to two Inter-Miami games and loves the experience that comes from watching. “The crowd was so fun and just the atmosphere was electric, you just feel it in your whole body,” Lagos said. Something not a lot of people may know about Lagos is her passion for creative writing. Lagos joined War Cry initially for a connection to people and writing. “I wanted a place where I could connect with people and also learn more about writing,” Lagos said. She plans to major in English Literature with a background in education, since she hopes to become a professor and author when she is older. Lagos’s biggest accomplishment is when she won the ¨Best of Snow¨ award for an article she wrote for War Cry last year.
